ecoTrain Question Of The Week: What is the one thing that you are most grateful for in this life? || PARENTAL SUPPORT

Since the first day this question was posted, it has prompted me to consider the one for which I am glad in my life. To be honest, life has given me so many things to be grateful for, whether it's the life I've been given, or how healthy I am, or God's provision of my daily needs, and so many other things since I was a child. But there is one thing for which I am glad right now, and that is "Parental Support" — their existence in my life has aided and rescued me far beyond anything I can imagine.

While growing up, I lived with a variety of individuals my age and made acquaintances, the majority of them have such strong parental support, perhaps because they are wealthy, educated, and have accomplished more. Because of their parents, most of these friends have a better educational background than I have, and they have access to whatever they want.

Nonetheless, my parents' support has been life-saving for me. All they want is to give me and my siblings the best they can, despite the fact that they know how difficult it will be. They work tirelessly every day to provide me and my siblings with the education they lacked. My father stated that he had the desire to become an Electrical Engineer since he was in elementary school, and that when his instructor asked the class what they all wanted to do in the future, he responded that he wanted to be an engineer.
But he never had the good parental support he required, and his own hardships as a child weren't enough to propel him to that level of accomplishment, but he worked hard to become an artisan - an electrical technician. My mother, too, had a wealthy but unsupportive father, and her mother couldn't carry the burden on her own; she still sheds tears thinking about how much better life would have been for her and her children if she had the correct assistance at the time.

For the reasons stated above, I have benefited from their exceptional parenting support, and they have pledged to assist me and my siblings in achieving the high level of achievement that they were unable to achieve. Without them in my life, I would have probably ended up as a homeless wandering kid; there are so many of them where I come from, and they are who they are not because they wanted to be (everyone wants to be great), but because the responsibilities on their shoulders are too much for them to bear, forcing them to move out and possibly get caught up in the whirlwinds of life.

So many people have had numerous possibilities presented to them, they have a rich background, and their lives are free of strife. Every piece of assistance they require is already in place before they even ask for it, but others like us must live every day in the hope that things will improve sooner or later. I know a few people who have no one, some who don't have a father to support them in their struggles, some who don't have motherly affection in their lives, but they keep going and never give up, and I can tell it's not easy for them, so having at least the best of parental support is the one thing I'm most grateful for in life, aside from life itself.
