Mass Indoctrination Day 13. 27-10-2021
Summary of what i learnt;
There are two kinds of sins, these are; Sins unto death that are not forgivable. The sin unto death that are not forgiveable are the sins we commit using the name of the holy spirit. This sin is committed willfully without a heart of guilt or a desire for change. And the bible said such person should not be prayed for and he or she should be expelled from the church, whereby setting an example for others to follow. He also taught us not to worship any other creature expect the creator, for our God is a jealous God and we should learn not to eat any food that's offered to an idle, for it will defile our conscience, such as food offered to any gods you know. As a Christian, you should stay far away from it. Remember Christian God and Muslim god are different. Christian God is begotten while Muslim god is not, so they are different.
NIV:This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
while sins not unto death are forgivable. Sin not unto death: This is a sin that is done unintentionally, and the bible says we should pray for any one who is a victim of this kind of sin. When someone abuses sin and then another make a mistake there is a difference between both. The one that makes a mistake can easily correct it but the one that abuses it find pleasure in doing it.
NIV:they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.
Churches that are not of God tolerate things which are evil, if you don't expel wicked people, others will become wicked.
1 john 5:16:
NIV:If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
It is abominable to worship another god other than God and most people worship the created gods rather than the Creator. Eating food offered to idols would weaken our conscience and we have been told to stay away from them.
1 Corinthians 8:7 (NIV)But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.
In conclusion, eating of idol food is prohibited as a Christian because it defile our conscience.
