El camión de las muñecas / The doll truck

Cuando vamos rodando por la ciudad y vemos el famoso Camión de las muñecas es imposible no seguirlo para sacarle alguna foto.
La primera vez que lo vi me impresionó mucho y cuando comenté que lo había visto, resulta que más personas de las que imaginaba lo conocían. No cabe la menor duda que por donde va pasando hay reacciones de todo tipo, la mayoría no entiende nada, y es que no es en absoluto común ver un camión transitando por la calle con muñecos y pedazos de muñecos rotos, sucios, sin pelo, sin ojos, etc.
Sin embargo , y pese a su terrible aspecto, siempre causa mucha curiosidad.
Hay quienes consideran El camión de las muñecas como un ícono caraqueño.

Jesús Alexis Poleo Díaz (quien debe rondar por los 70 años) es el dueño del camión con el que trabaja transportando hierro y materiales de construcción.
De los casi 40 años que trabaja con su camión, ya lleva 14 años colgando las muñecas.
Dice que lo hace solo por llamar la atención, de vacilón, muy a pesar de todas las cosas que se digan de él.

Además de la popularidad que ha adquirido el particular medio de transporte y su chofer, lo mejor que le ha dejado el vehículo a Poleo es su satisfacción personal: “Yo gozo un puyero con mi camión, libero el estrés durante el día, lo mejor de todo es que soy reconocido y es muy bonito que lo recuerden a uno, pero en bien, no en mal”, es la moraleja del personaje que muchos tildan con mala voluntad, sin conocer.
