For me, this is one of the best trucks that GM could make and still makes, as the Silverado name is still emblematic and very powerful among cargo trucks.

Para mí, esta es una de las mejores camionetas que la GM pudo fabricar y sigue fabricando, ya que el nombre de Silverado sigue siendo emblemático y muy poderoso entre las camionetas de carga.

I researched its engine to find out how much horsepower it had and it managed a maximum power of 120 HP. Not bad for its time and with incredible gas saving potential. However, during the check-up I noticed that the carburetor is injecting more gas than normal, suggesting that it may have a damaged O-ring or "o-ring" on the needles that control the air and fuel passage of the carburetor.

As you can see, the carburetor is quite soaked. Although not extreme, it is enough to have it properly serviced and correct the problem, as it can contaminate the oil with gasoline and cause catastrophic damage to the interior of the engine.

Another thing I noticed and it drove me crazy is that the intake manifold works in conjunction with the exhaust manifold. One is underneath the other. From what I've been told, this can be problematic, as when it cracks, it starts sucking in extra air and can cause disasters. Troubleshooting the fault is quite complex.

Overall, the condition of the engine is good. It does not wet the spark plugs, the idle is stable and the engine compartment is clean and looks neat. The dashboard is very well preserved. The indicators and lights work for the most part. The only thing I don't like is the steering wheel, to be honest. I prefer the original one, which is a bit bigger and gives a better feeling when driving.

I am not a fan of vehicles with such an advanced age. I am a person who likes their bodywork and that about them, but I don't like them mostly because of the little safety and reliability that over time they have lost. They are many decades of accumulated wear and tear that sooner or later always come to light, especially when it is a vehicle of daily use that, no matter how much we take care of it in the best way, it is always reflected with the passage of time.

As I mention in the title that the Chevy Silverado C10 is a machine built to last and, with good care and maintenance, was able to keep up with the passing of the decades, of course this particular one and some not so good ones are still today in my country (Venezuela) a truck widely used for its incredible capacity for hard work.
