Revisión y Mantenimiento de cazoleta // Bowl overhaul and maintenance (ESP/ENG)

What's up fellow friends of #hivemotors today we reviewed the hollowtech system of my bike, it's been a while since I mounted this system and it was time to do some maintenance and check how everything was.

Que tal amigos compañeros de #hivemotors hoy revisamos el sistema hollowtech de la mi bicicleta, ya hace un buen tiempo que monte
este sistema y bueno ya era hora de hacerle mantenimiento y revisar que tal estaba todo.

First we remove the connecting rod system, then we have access to the cups which have an arrow indicating which way they tighten, this serves as a guide to know which way we have to loosen each of the cups.

Primero sacamos el sistema de bielas, para luego tener acceso a las cazoletas las cuales tienen una flecha que indica hacia que lado aprietan, esta nos sirve como guía para saber hacia que lado tenemos que aflojar cada una de las cazoletas.

Once the bowl was off I realized that the grease had done its job very well, preventing water from getting in to accumulate dirt and corrosion by keeping the threads as clean as possible.

Una vez fuera la cazoleta me di cuenta que la grasa habia echo su trabajo muy bien, evitar que el agua que pudiese entrar acumulara suciedad y corrosión manteniendo los hilos de la rosca lo mas limpio posible.

Now I had to start cleaning the bottom bracket shell threads, cups and hollowtech cranks to put everything back in place clean and with new grease.

Ahora si, tenia que comenzar con la limpieza de la rosca de la caja de pedalier cazoletas y bielas hollowtech para volver a montar todo en su sitio limpio y con nueva grasa.

You can see how many pieces the hollowtech system is divided into. Although it looks like more, it is much easier and less complex than the sealed central axle system since we do not need special tools to disassemble and assemble the whole system.

Pueden observar en cuantas piezas se divide el sistema hollowtech o bielas huecas. aunque parece mas es mucho mas fácil y menos complejo que el sistema de eje central sellado ya que no necesitamos de herramientas especiales para lograr desarmar y armar todo el conjunto.

It is important to apply enough grease so that the threads of the threads remain protected and the cups do not stick to the bottom bracket shell due to dirt and grime.

Es importante colocar suficiente grasa para que los hilos de la rosca se mantenga protegidos y tampoco se peguen por el sucio y la mugre las cazoletas a la caja de pedalier.

The assembly is exactly the same as removing it, each plug has its letter indicating which side goes right and left, after having put both cups to butt is time to take a good tightening with a wrench to tighten the set well and avoid that we can loosen.

El armado es exactamente igual que quitarlo, cada tapón tiene su letra que indica de que lado va derecho he izquierdo, luego de haber puesto ambas cazoletas a tope es momento de echarle una buena apretada con una llave de inglesa para ajustar bien el conjunto y evitar que se nos pueda aflojar.

Following the adjustment, we lubricate the connecting rod shaft a little and insert it to complete the assembly of the whole assembly.

Seguido al ajuste lubricamos un poco el eje de la biela y la introducimos para completar el armado del conjunto en su totalidad.

Now this system has a particularity and is that to compress the connecting rods against the bearings we have to put this kind of plastic plug that has a very important function and is as mentioned before to give pressure to compress the system against the bearings.

Ahora este sistema tiene una particularidad y es que para comprimir las bielas contra los rodamientos tenemos que poner esta especie de tapón plástico que tiene una función muy importante y es como antes ya se menciono dar presión para comprimir el sistema contra los rodamientos.

We completed with a good adjustment only of the left crank and now we are ready to continue riding and squeezing the bike, but also being aware of the wear that I am causing in certain components, and maintaining its durability with the corresponding maintenance.

Completamos con un buen ajuste solamente de la biela izquierda y ahora si estamos listo para seguir rodando y exprimiendo la bicicleta, pero de igual manera siendo consientes con el desgaste que estoy provocando en ciertos componentes, y manteniendo su durabilidad con el mantenimiento correspondiente.
