Returning to Activity One Competition (ENG/ESP)

A few days ago I went with a friend to an event of both road and mountain bikes and when we arrived I realized that there was going to be a competition at first I hesitated whether to sign up or not but I could not miss the opportunity to see if the training has worked and clearly measure myself with people with more capacity to know how much more I still have to raise my level.

It was 67 almost 68 kilometers long and it was quite demanding to hold a speed of 40kmh and a little more in certain areas because my bike does not have a ratio that allows me to reach such high road developments as I have a 34 chainring and most had larger chainrings that made it easier to stay at a higher speed with a lower cadence.

Even with these things that didn't work in my favor, I was able to stay in third place and sometimes I was able to reach the second place, but in the last race my legs were not enough and although I tried to reach and climb another position I couldn't, but I still got third place in my first competition, which for me is great because I had not participated in one before, and to get third place in this one was great!

I got my first medal and much more inspiration to continue participating in these events and I hope that the next one will be in mtb to see what my weaknesses are inside the track and to be able to overcome my knowledge and improve my skills as we continue to work day by day in the street routes.

Niiiice! Congratulations on the achievement. You should consider using cycling shoes if you wanna ramp up. It gives a lot more control over the pedals

By chance I recently purchased some cycling shoes and pedals, soon I will be sharing with you my experience with the shoes, but I am sure it is one of the best investments I have ever made!
