Fuel pump out of the group / Bomba de gasolina salió de grupo (ESP/ENG)

I hope everything is ok, today I am going to tell you about my night experience with a trailblazer. This was the not very pleasant coincidence because the gas pump said goodbye at 10:00 pm, there are no spare sales or service stations open, I happened to remember that lately here in #hivemotors we have been talking a little about this, about the low octane and the quality of gasoline in Venezuela with @danielcarrerag and I think we both had come to the conclusion that every day is worse the quality of both gas pumps and gasoline itself.

Que tal amigos de hive como estan! espero que todo bien el dia de hoy les voy a contar lo que fue mi experiencia nocturna, con una trailblazer. Esta fue la casualidad no muy agradable pues la bomba de la gasolina dijo adiós a las 10:00 pm, no hay ventas de repuesto ni estaciones de servicio abiertas, casualmente recordé que últimamente acá en #hivemotors hemos estado hablando un poco de esto, sobre el bajo octanaje y la calidad de la gasolina en venezuela con @danielcarrerag y creo que ambos habíamos llegado a la conclusión que cada dia es peor la calidad tanto de bombas de gasolina como la misma gasolina.

Confiado de un flotador defectuoso, sumado que habia cambiado esta bomba de gasolina hace una semana, poco más poco menos, la cuestión es que ha eso de las 10:00pm ya decidido a retirarme a mi casa, la camioneta no quiso encender, para descartar de buenas a primeras que el problema que me temía era la bomba, saque un poco de gasolina desconectando el filtro de línea para luego echarle un poco por el cuerpo de aceleracion.

With this we discard 2 things, the first is that if it turns on we have spark, if there is spark in a fuel injected car the crankshaft and cam sensors are working perfectly. The second is that obviously if it turns on for a while and then turns off again, this means that the pump is dead, or in the worst case, the injectors have no pulse, this is difficult but it happens but it is always the dead fuel pump. Or maybe we just don't have any gas in the tank.

Con esto descartamos 2 cosas, la primera es que si enciende tenemos chispa, si hay chispa en un carro fuel inyection los sensores de cigueñal y levas estan funcionando a la perfeccion. La segunda es que obviamente si enciendo por un tiempo y se volvio a apagar, esto quiere decir que la bomba esta muerta, o en el peor de los casos, los inyectores no tienen pulso, esto es difícil pero llega a suceder pero siempre es la bomba de gasolina muerta. O quizás simplemente no tenemos gasolina en el tanque.

After doing this test, the truck stayed on for about 1 minute and turned off. Now if I had detected the fault, the battery had burned out, since after that it did not turn on again, remember that when the (battery) turns on it emits a characteristic sound that is unmistakable.

Luego de hacer esta prueba, la camioneta se mantuvo encendida alrededor de 1 minuto y se apago. Ahora si habia detectado la falla, la pila se habia quemado, ya que despues de eso no volvio a encender, recordemos que al encender la (pila) esta emite un sonido característico que es inconfundible.

Around 11:00pm there was no other way, I had to lower the tank, luckily as a mechanic I had tools that were not the right ones but they were useful to lower the tank, a 15mm die and a jack, a paddle screwdriver and a hammer.

Alrededor de las 11:00pm no habia de otra, tenia que bajar el tanque, menos mal como mecánico casi prevenido tenía herramientas que no eran las adecuadas pero me sirven o sirvieron para bajar el tanque, un dado 15mm y un gato, destornillador de paleta y un martillo.

After about 30 minutes I had lowered the tank to get the big surprise that I had no gas, no lie I had about 3 liters, a derisory amount for that truck, that tank is too long and on the other hand the pump that I had changed a week ago had the appearance of having worked for months.

Luego de alrededor de 30 minutos habia bajado el tanque para llevarme la gran sorpresa de que no tenía gasolina, sin decir mentiras tenia como 3 litros, una cantidad irrisoria para esa camioneta, ese tanque es demasiado largo y por otra parte la bomba que habia cambiado hace una semana tenía el aspecto de haber trabajo por meses.

Luckily I called a friend who was able to help me with the fuel pump and gasoline, this is something that left me surprised since I know that the situation with gasoline is complicated due to its poor quality, but I had not been a victim of it in a direct way.

Por suerte llame a un amigo que pudo auxiliarme con la bomba de gasolina y gasolina, esto es algo que me dejó sorprendido puesto que se que la situación con la gasolina por su mala calidad es complicado, pero no habia sido victima de ella de una forma directa.

As you can see the state of that pump is terrible, it should still be like new not have that coppery color, I do not know what you think about it, @danielcarrerag, @josuemonterola a crazy thing.

Como pueden ver el estado de esa bomba es terrible, aun deberia estar como nueva no tener ese color cobrizo, no se que piensan ustedes al respecto, @danielcarrerag, @josuemonterola una cosa de loco.

I assembled the new pump, reassembled the tank and finally tired at about 1:00am I checked 2 times to make sure I had not left anything loose there, I loaded the tank with the gasoline that they brought me and almost immediately after opening and closing the suiche 3 times so that the lines were loaded, and not to stay stuck giving the starter until it started the truck started without much effort.

Monte la bomba nueva, volvi a montar el tanque y de ultimo ya cansado a eso de la 1:00am revise 2 dos veces para asegurarme de no haber dejado nada suelto por allí, cargue el tanque con la gasolina que me trajeron y de forma casi inmediata luego de abrir y cerrar el suiche 3 veces para que las líneas se cargarán, y no quedarme pegado dandole arranque hasta que encendiera la camioneta encendió sin mayor esfuerzo.

This is something that as a mechanic makes me reflect on how the quality of the fuel that we are currently putting in our cars is what is currently destroying our components, I think no one in the country today goes out without a gas pump in the suitcase, it's crazy, first time in my life I see this.

Esto es algo que como mecanico me hace refleccionar sobre como la calidad del combustible que actualmente estamos colocando en nuestros autos es lo que esta actualmente está destruyendo nuestros componentes, creo que nadie actualmente en el país sale sin una bomba de gasolina en la maleta, es una cosa de locos, primera vez en mi vida que veo esto.
