The future of the Blockchain Technology
Hello dears friends.
The future of the blockchain was represented by people like Austin Hill, CEO of BlockCypher and SatoshiDice, who said in a Twitter chat that he thinks “blockchain technology could change the world but not enough has been done to scale it across all industries,” and Cody Wilson, founder of Defense Distributed. “We need open source to meet global needs,” he said.
Before the panel discussion there was a guided walk around the exhibit floor to check out companies like Global Brain, Revols, and XXDEER. XXDEER, a British-based company, makes contact lenses embedded with AI that can recognize hand gestures and will tell the wearer what to do or what action to take next.
Woodman stressed that he doesn’t want his products to be too new or too obvious. “We are not into saying, ‘hey, look at this cool technology.’ We want to build products that are a little bit better and a little bit more innovative,” he said.
The company’s blockchain headset is being called Project Snowden, after NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, but it could also become the Hot Rod of smart glasses, Woodman said. The glasses would contain proprietary, customized software, including the real-time business logic that will enable something like complete control of objects or supply chains.
Objects such as storage containers would be manufactured according to regulations and specifications, and would automatically check with the blockchain about where and when they are storing things, the blockchain providing visual confirmation.
