The news about the passing of the daughter of the Philippines, most health conscious and inspirational personality just ended her life, and it isn't the kind of depression that anyone else is expecting, she was young, full of energy, friendly, health conscious, active, who would have thought, in the lonely, quiet corner of her room, creeps in a thought of leaving this world too early, of giving up her beautiful life?she tried to fight it, not once, but so many times and yet, the darkness, once again won.
The suicidal age have become much more younger,and as a teacher, I felt like I have to do something, I am no way a wonder woman, but I feel like these lives could be saved, just by one conversation. Of course, consulting experts is highly suggested, especially if you feel like the dark clouds are prevalent, and would usually alter your daily life, like skipping meals, schools and work, but the best advice for me is, to never handle it alone.
Do you know that nowadays people tend to be quiet about compliment and loud on criticism? the common gesture and greetings such as "wow your skin is glowing, your dress looks nice on you, you look happier, you look healthier, I like your smile" were all slowly fading and turning into "slt, whre, st*pid, ugly" and the cancel culture is getting worst.
How hard it is to be nice nowadays? you may ask
I want you to remember and UNDERSTAND that in psychology,
Other people's projection is fully or 100% because of their own well being, how they feel, how some people made them feel, their thoughts, and IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU
Someone looked at you from head to feet? - she might not be wearing the nicest underwear π so she isn't so confident about herself, no need to check yourself in the mirror because there's nothing wrong with you.
Someone cuts the line- politely remind them, still be nice and if they shrug you off, no hard feelings, maybe the person needs to go to the toilet asap π
Someone cuts you on the road- maybe they are rushing to some emergencies or someone might be needing them, give way, the end of the race is not on the road, but in your home, where your loved ones are waiting for you
Someone criticize your decisions and intelligence (in a bad/ humiliating way) maybe they experienced the same humiliation and wants you to feel inferior about yourself too.
that's it, even our parents don't have to think about us 24/7, because they too, are busy with their lives, yes, they will take care of you but majority of their thoughts are also about them and for them, and so when a family member suddenly yells, or get angry, please extend your patience and calmly ask if there's something wrong, if there were misunderstanding, try to cool down, before deciding to discuss things
next is, this is very serious and CRUCIAL, find a hobby that can distract you
REAL HOBBY, if you are already having a depression, please stay away from social media and PLEASE DO NOT OCCUPY YOURSELF WITH WATCHING MOVIES, TV SERIES OR GAMES, because it may TEMPORARILY DISTRACT YOU, but it is not for a long term solution, instead, read some books, if they are too expensive, read ebooks, or blogs here is Hive, fun stories of people, useful blogs such cooking, mechanical, financial (this is boring BUT VERY USEFUL)

get pets, it's so underrated, but animal's unconditional love, hits really different, like they don't care who you are, you are their world and when there's this little thing depending their lives on you, would you ever think of leaving them? alone? π₯Ή


Go out and get some sunshine, people don't notice, we are living things, and staying Indoors, and being resistant to going out, is actually killing us, yeah, like a plant, I mean EVEN CACTUS NEEDS SUNLIGHT, go out, drink your coffee outside, read a blog outside
Avoid multitasking, although it can help you finish all of your tasks faster, you are torturing your brain by "overthinking", do monotasking instead, list down the most important task for the day and do them one by one, I swear it calms your nervous system, eat slowly, walk slowly, speak slowly, when you are at work, and someone is pressuring you, calmly respond with " I can make it to the deadline, just trust me". π
And lastly, this one is hard
MOVE, this is soooo sooo hard, especially if you're already having a depression,when your mind is cloudy, it paralyzes our body

I was practicing that ...
in my previous blog, i wrote that i was struggling with waking up early, and I came across a video that said, whenever you are thinking about doing something else, you have to count from 1-3 and then move, figure out how to do it while moving, it shocks your whole body but the adrenaline is hyping up, it's like
I will exercise 1, 2, 3..... changing to exercise clothes
I will clean my room 1, 2... holding the broom and mop
I will read a book 1, 2, 3 opening the ebook apps and randomly choose any book
I will get some sunshine 1... walking outside
Remember no matter who you are, how you find yourself less attractive, less smart, and so on
Someone decided that you should be part of this world, this vast universe
and so make the decision everyday to live, exist, and thrive,
your family is not supporting you in your endeavors, as long as it is your passion go for it, as long as it makes you happy, go for it, remember that they only brought you in this world, that doesn't give them the right to control every decision you have, in the end, they will have their own life (especially your parents as seniors) and you with the life you chose.
and always remember this,
You're not a failure, you're just having baby steps figuring out life and remember, each of us has the right to take our own pace, DO NOT FORCE YOURSELF WITH OTHER'S PACING. It's like forcing other's clothes on you, yeah it looks nice, but you almost can't breath in it, just because that cloth is not meant for you.
I am no expert when it comes to psychology, and like what I have mentioned earlier, if your thoughts π are getting more darker and foggy, please do not hesitate to visit experts, I know, especially in Asian Countries, visiting the Psychiatrist is a taboo, but remember that it is the same as visiting the doctor when you are not feeling well, and remember YOU AREN'T FEELING WELL, so go ahead, and see one, our lives are getting much more complicated because we'd rather listen to other people, than ourselves. Always listen to yourself.
The heavy feeling you have will pass by, just like a storm, we can never stop it, so we have to learn to go through it, because just like the water from river, it passes by.

Yeah, like who would have thought that behind her toughness, lies darkness

Thatβs such a horrible thing to experience, the bullying is really brutal but at the same time we donβt need to be going to the extremes of committing suicide because of it. Itβs a terrible situation overall!
True, and it is easier now that every is digital and that people can hide their identities. π
