Hello all hive friends, from wherever you are, I pray that you continue to be in God's grace and health. At noon today, according to the conditions in my area, I want to show you some photos of a type of fruit plant that my parents planted from childhood to bear fruit like this. As seen in the picture, the plant is a dragon fruit plant.

Dragon fruit is a fruit that I think is very common for people to know. But for the tree itself, I think there are still people who have never seen it, like me, I just found out how this dragon fruit tree looks like when I was a teenager. Usually in my place, the price of dragon fruit is quite expensive, therefore, this fruit is not consumed often by people with low economics.

This plant comes from Mexico, then spread throughout the world. Mexico was the first country where almost all types of cactus trees existed. Including this dragon fruit plant, this plant also includes a cactus type plant. Therefore, in its maintenance requires a lot of water reserves.

In China and Vietnam because their beliefs are almost similar to this fruit from the color and skin it looks like dragon scales which they believe. That's why the initial designation of this fruit became the designation of dragon fruit. Even the whole world knows the name of this fruit as dragon fruit according to the pronunciation of each country and region. But in Latin this plant called by Hylocereus polyrhizus.

Because this plant is a type of cactus, its stems grow thorny and green like a cactus. The stems are full of sap and water, and not hard trunks, there must be support and a place to lean so that this plant can grow upright. The process of fruit growth through flowers that close and continue to elongate. Finally, to the maximum extent of the flower, it blooms and grows a small lump at the base of the flower. Then as the fruit grows at the base of the flower the petals will shrivel and wither, then enlarge until they turn red little by little until they are ripe.

I am grateful that my parents planted it, because of that I can enjoy this fruit without having to pay a lot of money. Enough of my writing in this post this time, I hope you guys are entertained and thank you.
