What a nice guy you are! I really appreciate how you are trying to save me some work. Yes, this particular game does take a lot more effort than many of the others. I stopped using the police cars because they filled the streets and made a lot more work, especially since I needed to switch between cars with cops inside and those left empty (signified by an open door).

My concern is that I don't want to be the one assigning death or injury to any given player, so I allow the dice rolls to determine that. If I choose the order of players to roll for, I'm partly responsible for the rolls they may get. If the dice chooses their number, it is totally random (or at least as random as the formula used by the number generator).

I'd gladly take a short-cut if the players are fine with it. How does everyone feel about assigning rolls rather than having me perform so many rolls?

Oh I see.... I hadn't thought about the potential for partial responsibility.

I think to counter that, you just always make the lowest player number first... so for example, if there are 3 (ie, P7, P9, P11) players in a square you'd divide it evenly into 6-sided-die:

1-2=P7, 3-4=P9, 5-6=P11

Or if there are 2 players:

1-3=P6, 4-6=P11

If there are 4 or 5 players you could switch to the 20-sided-die to divide evenly. If there are 6 players then that's an easy 6-sided-die with lowest to highest... and well, 7,8,9 players starts to get a bit trickier... maybe go back to your old style at that point.

Obviously I'm fine with you assigning rolls so you don't have to roll so many times, and I think as long as you're consistent everyone else should be fine.

Oh! NOW I understand what you were trying to tell me. Yes! I like that idea. Thank-you! The dice are actually choosing who takes the hit and I'm simply assigning the players with their numbers.
