Siblings Reunion Part 2: The Nephew's 2nd Birthday!
If you have not read my part 1 on reunion, you may read it
here!
Life got so much more exciting the past few days because of this long awaited reunion. Though this time is without my parents as they are still in Sarawak, another part of Malaysia which is separated by the South China Sea, we still were really glad to see all my siblings and their spouses and my little nephew.
I brought my two boys by myself to meet them as the husband was in church for Easter celebration.
Okay it was supposed to be a super heroes themed birthday party but with children, it tends to be chaotic and get out of hands which was expected too. Hahahah. The birthday boy refused to wear his little cape, where he was supposedly to be dressed up as Batman.
My boys who are a bit older did enjoy dressing up.
Here is the eldest son acting cool while the youngest looked a bit confused hahah.
After all the food had arrived, the party (chaos) began.
We did try our best to take as many photos but the birthday boy could not wait to dig in the food, so everything had to be done quickly.
We quickly took as many photos as we could with him before he ran away.
He blew off his own candle and also cut the birthday cake with his parents.
After eating, then it was PRESENTS TIME with each of his uncle and aunty!
My sister and brother-in-law took photo after they managed to carry my youngest son.
My brother had to be the earliest to leave so he had some hugs from his nephews.
Partying hard is a hard thing to do. The 2-year-old birthday boy was actually exhausted and so were we. He took a long while to say goodbye to us before he could enter his room to nap. Everyone else took a short nap too and my youngest made himself comfortable on the couch.
Even I napped. Only one 'man' left standing, that was my eldest son who made himself cozy in between his youngest aunt and my brother-in-law's sister.
After napped, we all feel refreshed and caught up with each other a little longer. We did not go out from the hotel anymore as we didn't want to waste time on traveling but to savour our time together and go slow. However, soon it was time to bid goodbye to everyone as we part again to return to our own lives. Before I sent my youngest sister to the train station, she took some photos with my youngest.
Though this was a very short 3 days reunion with them siblings, it was so precious and we had a blast! We really dont know when the next one will be. But my family and I are flying back hometown to meet my sister and her family who has flown back already to meet our parents!!!
I am glad that and your family enjoyed yourselves. Family are most important. Without family I wouldn't make it.
