Midorie, A Forest in the Middle of An Urban City

Not sure if I am posting at the correct community but I recently found an interesting concept in the city I am in.

🌱πŸͺ΄πŸŒΏπŸƒπŸ€πŸŒ΅

This place Midorie is situated at the centre of my city yet aiming to build a forest in it. They aim to introduce a greener touch to the urban Kuala Lumpur so they purposely chose a space in the city center. If you read my post before this on
MORI KOHI, this is situated in the same bungalow space with their another upcoming project called Vegetory where they plant vegetables and greens for the consumption of their cafe.

After lunch, my friend and I walked over to the next space housing Midorie. I was first attracted to their terrariums.

Many beautiful little plants were displayed and they even have some for the CNY theme.

Arranged nicely and neatly on the racks, the plants do look inviting to ask us to bring them home. Most of these are ornamental plants and they do look very healthy.

As for me, I plant mostly vegetables and herbs so I feel my balcony space is not enough anymore. My friend who is about to leave the country is a serious plant lover but she too could not buy more as her plant babies needed to be passed over to her brother to help care. So we ended up leaving the place empty-handed. But we did admire so many of the plants.

More plants outside of the space. Really felt very comfortable being in a place surrounded by many plants of all kinds. Some of which I have never seen before.

This sign struck me!!! I CANNOT IMAGINE THE WORLD WITHOUT GREENS!

I googled them up because I am honestly attracted by their concept. According to their
website, this is their belief:

At Midorie, our place is spacious and can be used for special events made to suit the needs of our clients. The whole building is designed in a cozy and minimalist concept to create a modern, contemporary, and stylish, yet simple design of β€œless is more”. With the clean and detailed furnishings that are carefully selected and placed in the best positions to ensure guests can enjoy the events in a relaxing and comfortable environment. The look is completed by adding a final touch through the addition of plants and green wall installations around the building to create a green β€œforest” in the city while promoting the beauty and aesthetics of plants.

Bless their business to flourish and their beautiful concept to be expanded!

Very cool-looking geometric terrariums!
And what an amazing place. The plants are displayed so neatly for people to enjoy. Most places that sell plants look like a mini forest.
