Let's start by introducing some Play2Earn games. Splinterlands is the most prominent I'm playing and as Hive's flagship, it is the first one I am including in this collection.

Staying on Hive, I am also quite active in Rising Star. Breaking it down, it is a gamified faucet. However, a super addictive one and with earning potential in a whole different dimension compared to classical faucets.

Lost Relics is a bit of an underdog. The game is developed by an Aussie named Cliff. The guy is working on the project all by himself and thus the game has been in a pre-release alpha stage for years now. It is still very well made and incredibly addictive. I am playing this daily despite the low earning potential. Lost Relics integrating with the Enjin network and thus suffering from Ethereum gas fees, doesn't exactly help either. The drop rate of blockchain items is ridiculously low but if you want to play a(n actual) game just for the fun side of it, you should give Lost Relics a try!
Another gamified faucet, at least for now, until Play2Earn battles go-live, is Neon District. Send your agents on a delivery shift two to three times a day and spend the NEON the gather on loot boxes. The items inside are NFTs that you can sell on the Polygon network (gas free).

Just today, I signed up for Ethermon, so it might be a little too early for me to provide extensive insight. However, the concept, especially the aspect of integrating with Decentraland, appears super promising and I am excited to start collecting Mons. Ethermon, as the name suggests, is originally placed on Ethereum but integrates with Polygon and implements off-chain assets as well, to save gas fees.
I am closing the game introduction part of this collection with an overview of idle games, that admittedly, can be boring. But it's free money for clicking a button while watching TV, so what the heck. As mentioned below, I have ditched some of these by now. Others I am still very engaged with. Just try them out for yourself!
A while ago, I used to write weekly Play2Earn reports. I paused this, since I quit most of the games (either not fun or not lucrative enough). I'm still including the reports in this collection, so that you can get an idea of what the week of a Play2Earn esports athlete can look like.
