A Year of Change: Becoming a Father Again, Losing a Loved One & Growing Stronger

We have entered in the last month of the year 2025, and after three weeks we will be entering the new year. The current year was mix for me and I have some good news to share and their was some sad news too. In the start of year we use to set some targets with respect to finance, personal goals etc and try to achieve then throughout the year. I also set some targets and some of them, I was able to complete and some of them are near to complete and some are fas behind the schedule. Last year I visited my brother living abroad and even it was a very short trip and I was traveling without my family but still it was nice trip and I was exploring some new places but unfortunately till now I am not able to share the journey with my Hive Friends. Time really runnfast and to be honest the current year was even more fast. It looks like we were celebrating the new year 2025 part just few month back.

At the start of year God bless is with a baby boy, it is our second child. The complete family was celebrating and was doing the prayer to the God for the blessings. Our young is 7 year old now so I'm this way it's approximately 6 year gap between out both children. I was on trip when my wife told me the good news that we are going to have a baby. The things got changed a lot after the birth of second baby, even now we are very close to our native place. For initial few weeks were ok as my mother and mother in law were their for helping us but after few weeks my mother in law went to their home, we also understand after all the baby is our own responsibility only and we really thankful to them for their help and support. The life changes in many ways when you have a new born in home. You need to be extra cautious and more responsible. You can not play loud music, you cannot watch tv late, or go out like you do previously. The time management and balancing between the professional and personal life becomes important activities as you can not stop working and you have to spare time for family as special for the new born. By the way his name is Gurmehar Singh, and may be on this birthday I will gift him a new hive account also same as I have for my younger one.

The second big achievement of the year was controlling my diet and reducing the weight. I was over weight and at the start of year my weight was approximately 88 Kg. My twin brother with same weight consultant doctor as he was getting intuition of height blood sugar. The doctor suggested him to first reduce some weight as it is reason for many decease. He shared with me and do it was also a alarming situation for me as well. I start working on my weight management and started with avoiding the junk food along with reducing the sugar intake. I start exercise and this become my routine. Good thing was that with those diet changes and exercise I was able to reduce 15 kg in six months. Now I am below 75 Kg and I consider it as one of the biggest achievement of the year for me.

If I talked about the sad incident of the year then the first comes into my mind is the name our lives one who left us benifit. The month of April we do not make to forgets as the younger child of my brother in law passed away after meeting and accident, he was just 12 year old and the incident shaken our family. My in laws along with my wife has not able to come out of shock completely and I prayers to God give the strength to family. I know loosing a young child is a very painful and it will take some time to come back into normal.

Other then the personal life , here on Hive also I set some goal in the start of the year but afterwards I found that maintaining the same peace after having a second baby is nit easy and their was some time when I was completely away from the chain. But now trying to post, engage, explore every day. I am still trying to hit the 10K Hive Power and 2k HBD saving milestone. I have set a mini goal of posting every Day in December and also explore some new communities also and its good till now (may be this will earn me my remaining 1.1K Hive Power also).
