Homestead Meal Prep - Freezer Burritos
One thing I quickly realized being out here on the homestead was preparing meals ahead of time or making a little extra goes a long way. It not only saves me time to put towards other hometead projects but it also makes for great quick delicious meals for any time!
One of my favorites to make has been these vegetarian freezer burritos.
How To Start Meal Prepping?
Making these freezer burritos is a quick easy way to get started with meal prepping. They are quick to make and are great for making many meals at once. They also freeze and warm up well making them last a weeks even months! I ended up making 20 of these burritos myself and the total time was only 45 minutes!
Is Meal Prepping Healthy?
It can be! Many store bought prepared foods are loaded with perservatives and nasty stuff. However making your own can be a healthy alternative. Meal prepping is a great healthy time saver when preparing healthy meals. One day you might be feeling lazy and thank your previous self for having already cooked something!
Need a little spice?
In this video I made a quick easy seasoning but you can add just about any seasoning you want. On my next batch of these burritos (yeah, I might have eaten them all already lol) I plan on making a delicious cilantro lime sauce which you can check out on my website GubbaTV.com

With you, it is easy to prepare burritos :) My niece is preparing them in a similar way, mine ones were a kind of disaster while wrapping them 😂
Although we didn't try to freeze them, they disappeared in no time :D So, no ahead prepared food for me hahaha

These look so freakin good! One can never have enough burritos
Making your own freezer burritos never occurred to me. I love to grow my hot peppers in the garden so I could have some spicy numbers waiting in my freezer to eat quickly.
