It looks nice in the eyes but my question is why do you use brown sugar and did the brown sugar colour influence the colour of the output?

The recipe called for either brown sugar or monkfruit sweetener, which I don't have, so I used brown sugar. It does usually make things come out darker, yes - when I make chocolate chip cookies, I use all brown sugar there too and they look as though they are maybe burnt when they aren't, it's just the color from the sugar.
