'Syntakt3' - New Original Music - A Quick 2 Minute Creation - Electronic/Instrumental

So I splurged a couple weeks back

and ordered the Syntakt... it's pricier than the Digitakt and Digitone were, but I actually had a coupon from a previous issue that I was able to use, so it wound up being relatively reasonable, all things considered. And, so far, it's been a TON of fun, so I'd say definitely worth it. I've just barely begun to scratch the surface, and oddly haven't done much percussion with it yet, but the synth stuff has been a lot of fun, haha. There are elements that are like the Model:Cycles, which was my introduction to the world of Elektron devices, but even in those cases, the Syntakt gets way more in depth. There are 8 Digital tracks, all of which can run a variety of 'machines', or run as Midi tracks, and 4 Analog tracks, 3 of which can run the various analog machines, and 1 that is for the analog cymbal sounds. The last 4 buttons are programmable, and can be used to retrigger, alter velocity, or a few other functions, which allows for some great performance enhancement. This song has no drums, and is mostly just me exploring the digital sounds (though there is an analog instrument, the dual voice VCO). Although these are monophonic (except the chords instrument), the machines with the 'detune' setting (and two voices) allow you to create intervals, which I've used here to outline some basic chord movements. I'm gonna keep playing around with this, so hopefully I'll have some more in depth song ideas to share soon!
