'Song 51' - New Original Music - A Quick 30 Minute Timed Challenge

of free time, so I decided to do a quick timed challenge, using guitar, bass, and whatever else I had time for. I wound up basically outlining the 3 parts with one guitar track (A, B, A and C sections), then adding a second guitar line, which is the palm-muted, single note pentatonic thing. Both of these ran through the Astral Destiny for a Chorus effect (not technically chorus, but it sounds similar enough), then the Microcosm for some reverb and delay, using the Mosaic setting. I then added the bass, which was entirely dry initially. For all 3 of these, I used Ableton's amp effect, which I've been playing with more lately. It is surprisingly useful, particularly when used more subtly. Next up was the Digitone, which plays over each section a bit, with the most filled in melody part over the outro/C section. I used a little Microcosm on some of these bits. Finally, I added drums with the Digitakt. I was almost out of time, so I used some bits of a previous pattern, altering things a bit here and there. I tried to avoid any typical drum sounds outside of a kick, which I think turned out cool. I didn't have time to mix anything, so levels are off, and things probably muddy each other up a bit, but overall I like the results!
