More Fun w/ Elektron's Model:Cycles - Some Twinkly Drumless Randomness - Song + Video

I had some fun today

with the Elektron Model:Cycles, with a few different song ideas. I've only shared one here, but I figured I'd use the others over the next few days, as there is some cool stuff there (also some kinda 'meh' stuff, but thats the way it goes). This idea was the last of the day, and was intended to be entirely drumless; the previous few ideas had been almost entirely drums, so I figured it would be fun to try and do something different with this one. If this were to ever become a 'song', I'd need to iron things out a bit more, but the basic idea was a bunch of twinkly little things, floating around, with a lot of the 'Chance' knob applied, adding randomness throughout. I wound up adding some chords, which play an Fmaj7, Bbmaj7 and Csus2, before repeating, though the actual harmony does shift a bit more with the other synth lines. The last addition was the sixth Track, a bass synth with does a big pitch bend down, before holding the note played. It isn't super obvious on a phone or laptop speakers, but it has a nice subbiness when the actual note is held out, so I'd need to accentuate that a bit more if I decide to use this for something more complete.

Watch and listen to the idea here...

Hope you enjoy these explorations into the Model:Cycles!
