'M7' - New Original Music - MORE Randomized Fun...
So this is the 7th in what has become
a series of ideas, all using the Melodic Steps generator, which I've grown to really enjoy using. It definitely isn't applicable across the board, but started with a nice synth pad, then getting a fun randomized progression has been the method for these, then adding a bit of bass, or some other synth bits throughout. This one is in C major, nothing crazy scale-wise happening here, but while I was recording the pad sound (let it run for 3 minutes or so), I also was randomly adjusting the length of the "transpose" segment, so the progression got longer and shorter (along with all the other randomized elements creating a ton of variety). I also randomly played with the specific pitches in that transpose section, so it had even more variation than on its own. Though I don't know if that would be obvious while listening, it definitely all contributes, so I think generally I like the results. I did add a bass part here, which comes in a few times, along with a melody with the reversed reverb below, and then a little Cadd9 swell. All in all, I like this idea quite a bit!
