generator, and was going to be a sort of ambient, randomized thing like those previous ideas, but I used it with a plucky, really percussive synth sound. With the cutoff dropped, and a few other tweaks, we got the sound that begins the song which although pitched, feels far more drumlike a lot of the time. I had the generator set on Locrian, so when you can hear pitches, they're definitely dissonant which is accented more with Track 7, the strange bass synth that comes in next. Everything else added is just drums, but I wanted them to be interesting, and I think that was successful. I do want to remove and tweak some of the hi-hats, at times it feels like a bit too much (it's already sparse, I know haha). I also want to really add more variety to the song structure; currently, we have an intro and outro, and in the middle the "riff" plays 3x. I want that to feel less obvious, so I'm gonna explore some ideas and hopefully share something cooler tomorrow.
