I used that same 'feedback' preset

Track 1, Chords
from Ableton's wavetable synth sounds here, in Track 1, and outlined the progression pictured to the right here: C6, Bbmaj9, Fmaj9, and finally Abmaj6/9. Track 2 is another wavetable synth, which provides some background texture as I automated some stuff in it so has some more movement. Track 3 is another wavetable sound, which normally would be held out and used for a build-up, but here it fades in and out pretty quickly, just sort of a background element. Track 4 is another wavetable (I know, I've used that phrase a lot here haha) which isn't used for anything harmony-wise here, it adds some weird, bubbly, sort of liquid sounds. Track 5 was a change of pace; I used the 'Drift' synth here, which is a brand new instrument with the most recent large Ableton update. I didn't use a preset, instead making my own sound. This provides a melody line, which has a cool, warbly, out of tune vibe I like a lot. I ran this through a return track with a heavy convolution reverb, then recorded the audio from just the return track into Track 6. I turned off that return track on Track 5 then, and used the 'transient preserve' on Track 6 to chop it up into 1/16th notes and provide a much more rhythmic sound. It adds some consistency, the same melody as Track 5, but with the heavy reverb and choppy rhythm, is different enough to keep things interesting. Overall, I like this idea so far! I am not sure if I want to add any percussion, or keep it all synths, so we'll see where things go.
