'Digichili' - New Original Music - One of the Many Random Mediocre Late Night Sessions - Electronic/Instrumental

and, even if a 'song' doesn't come from it, at least try some new things; often I will have watched videos during the day with new things incorporate, but sometimes, I just do random stuff and see where it takes me. This can result in great, happy accidents, but more often than not is something sort of bland, mediocre, or just no particularly interesting, hehe. Today's song is probably mix of all 3, though there is some potential here... I started with a bass part, which actually used one of the 'Blocks' modular synth instruments that was included with Native Instruments' Komplete Start package, which is something I often forget about. That provides the constantly droning D in Track 2, which I think, if I were to take anything from this to use for a better idea, it would be that bass part. I was sort of imagining a D underneath the whole song, then chords on top changing, which does happen in Track 1 (a Vital synth I made), but only 2x, moving from a Dmaj9 to Dmin7, back and forth. Track 3 is an instance of Decentsampler which uses a piano sound from Pianobook.co.uk, with a Thermal effect on it, playing the line to right here. Tracks 4, 5 and 6 are all various Nerve drum loops, which are fine, and I like the pattern, but the sounds are bit small and tinny, and again, just feel kind of random and not like a cohesive idea. The last two Tracks, 8 and 9, are both ROLI instruments, which, again, are kinda random. Overall, a very 'meh' sort of idea... I'm gonna take that bass part, save a new session, and try again tonight!
