What Happened to the Boy Who Was Going to Change Everything

Not that I am arrogant, but I used to have this very lovely version of myself that I was totally sure about. Sure and certain that I was going to come up with something, somewhere, important in ways that I could almost feel with my hands. The objective was more than dreams. They were like truth waiting to come into reality. I would be on my bed every night, and my chest would be pumping, and I would be feeling impatient.

What I had in me was pushing me so much that it brought fear to the people around me. I knew someone that usually tells me to exercise patience because I might run out of energy even before I get to start. Maybe the person was probably right because he saw something I couldn't. Because not long after that, the driver and the heat changed. It was still there, but the zeal wasn't just as much as before. It was more or less silent.

The desire that once fueled my purpose like an afternoon sun in the sky now looks like the sun was going down in the evening. Though it was still warm, I can still feel it, but just that it has become softer. And when I look at it, can I say it is loss or growth? But looking at it very deeply, I'd rather say it's both.
