One Thousand Dollars and a Clear Head

At the time that I was about to write this post, I decided to check the current dollar-to-naira conversion rate in my country just to know what to write, and I saw that one thousand dollars is now equivalent to 1,356,905.31 Nigerian naira. And with the way the exchange rate fluctuates, earning in dollars is something I will say feel more safer. So, if I have a thousand dollars, I will breathe, and I will not rush to spend it on just anything.

With common sense, I split the money. A portion of the money would go into learning new skills by getting some courses that I have in mind. I will try to learn some digital skills that will earn me foreign currency. It will definitely not be something that I will be going about saying, but I am sure it will affect my source of income positively over time.

I would also give another part to my family, like I always do, maybe buy some bulk food and some necessary things I think they will be needing, nothing big, nothing small, just moderate. At times, little little things like that are what matters in this life.

And as usual, another portion is going into my savings just in case of those unforeseen circumstances and emergencies of repairs, urgent 2k here and there that do not send invitations cards, they just appear like a ghost.

With my little experience with money and what I have seen over time, I have gotten to know that if I do not have any plans for money that enters my hand, I will eventually spend it on unnecessary things, most likely. Having a thousand dollars will not give me a solution to my life because there are more expenses, but it will change some things because of the discipline and the plans behind it, not how I spend it.
