I Don't Use All Ten Fingers to Eat
There is this popular saying in my culture, “Do not use all your ten fingers to eat.” And there's this thing I have learned from ants: they always save for the dry and rainy season. And that applies to a good farmer too. A very industrious farmer will never eat all his harvest because he will keep some and save some to plant for the next season. And I have also been applying the same principle here on Hive.
When my rewards drop after seven days, they split into two, Hive power and HBD, but currently it's Hive. I don't touch the Hive Power not because I don't wish to, but because I have been leaving it there for the future, and that is how I have seen some people do it too. I have seen the end result of those who used all their ten fingers to eat. And I have also seen how some people spend their hard-earned money in just a few days, and they have to start from zero again, and that has become a cycle for them, which can be very exhausting.

And on the other hand, because it's a two-way street here. I have the liquid Hive, or HBD, which I sometimes convert, not always and not carelessly. But I turn it into cash when need be. I mean a genuine reason for me to because, to me, I prefer to use my money to buy something than to borrow from someone; it kind of gives me that dignity and avoids seeing it finished. When I look at it, when I work for something and I earn it, it feels completely different from going around begging and owing and looking for a means to pay back.
So, like I said, it is a two-way street for me because I am neither fully converting everything to cash nor fully powering up. So since I joined this platform, I am doing nothing new and nothing old-fashioned. But it's of necessity in a way that I am stretching what I have to cover today while I am still keeping something in my wallet because of tomorrow. Though it might not look like a perfect way to go about it, to me, it is real and very honest. And it's also mine.

This is also the true position for me, one must surely taste the fruit of one's labour and as well save some for the future. The same applies to me.
That's correct! It's a two-way street indeed, you build and sometimes cash out too, when the need arise.
