The Strange Market of Words

There is no good without bad. Every good thing will always have its own bad, and every bad thing will always have its own good too.

I could remember, like, a year ago or eleven months ago when I returned to Hive, I started growing my account, and to my greatest surprise, I was getting some support in terms of upvotes, new followers, and also comments where some gave their opinions on what I posted.

What amazes me most about this platform is that I come here to drop a post, and those following me and those we are not even following come around to share their support. And to me, it is like a small village on the internet that has brought a lot of people together globally.

But then, Hive is not always rosy because some days like that always feel like I am writing inside a very dry desert with no water. I take my time to write from my heart, yet the post gets stuck, and sometimes I refresh my page over and over again just to see if maybe my page hasn't become invisible.

And with the look of things, I am yet to understand the reward system. Maybe it is by connection, knowing people, or just doing what you know how to do best. Maybe someday someone will notice, because with what I have seen, good writers tend to earn little, while some only post loud trends, and they get attention.

But with all that, I have learned a lot of things on this platform. First is how to always exercise patience. Second is how to connect with people online and build something meaningful, and I will not lie, I have met some lovely people on this platform, and it has even given me a platform where I got to interview witnesses, and here feels like home already.

Though it still has its flaws. But in a world where people cannot easily express themselves online, here, anyone can do so comfortably, and this alone usually motivates me to write even on days when I feel so down.
