Exploring The Water Dam In Manticao, Misamis Oriental

Greetings everyone, all of us loves to travel in different place particularly those places contains a great sceneries. Here in the Province, our River also contains one water dam and it is not like the other dams we seen in some places. This is only a simple Water dam but it contributes to all Farmer people who lived in our town in terms of water irrigation. This is one of my special pinmapple travel blog and I really glad and proud to share how fascinating the place it was during my travel. And let you to explore the entire place at the water dam site.

Using the pinmapple Map and via satellite, we can seen the exact location of the Dam is in the middle of Barangay Paniangan in Manticao River. It needs to walk a few meters away from Provincial roads and it is not quitely easy to went here and it needs to walked using the road trail. It is also quite far from crowded places just like many houses. From Barangay Poblacion, it needs to travel a few minutes and it needs to ride public vehicle just like motorcycles and tricycles.

The first areas I passed during my travel was this area. Not all of the place contains soil, there are also solid silica rocks and due to heavy rains and floods the silica rocks are started to show near at the river. Manticao river is very helpful to all residents in the place especially the Farmers. They fetched water in the river just for their plants and crops. Some farmer raising animals also fetched water here for their animals as well.

Our place is experiencing an intense heat until now-a-days and that is why, the water level keeps dropping. The stones are started to showed up including those peebles. But even if that is the situation here, the river maintain its beautiful and fascinating views. Fish and crabs are also hid in this place. It takes a few hours before of walking here and It was really fun and enjoyable for Nature sight seeing. The place is filled with many different kinds of big trees just like acasia and Native lanhan tugas tree. This will keep the place cool and fresh.

To have me saving more time, I keep this road as a shortcut going to my Destination. I really amazed of the primary source of income to all people in here. They planted more banana plants and it grows very healthy and some of it are already produced banana fruits. This road trail leads to the vast banana plantation areas and as I estimated the number of banana plants, it approximately of 800 banana plants and it was grow near at the river.

The river is a curvy areas and in order for me to arrived at the place, it needs to pass by the river again and once again I also passed at the road trail at the cliff straight to the river. Even if it was a hot sunny day, I still enjoyed watching those relaxing and fascinating place here in Manticao River. As far As I know, I nearly at the Dam area. Some of the cliff was already covered with solid concrete so that it keeps the place of not collapsing or eroded due to floods and heavy rain.

Introducing, The Manticao Water Dam:

For a few hours of hiking along in the road trail, finally I arrived at the water dam area. This is the entire place of the dam and it was built many years ago. Until now, the concrete of the dam is still intact and it is already grows by the fresh water plant just like algae. The fresh water was splashing and flowed down in the concrete built at the middle of the river.

Near at the dam site is this steel bridge. This bridge is very important to all residents here so that they can still passing by to the other side of the place even if there is a big flood. The cliff near at the water daw is covered with solid concrete so that it wont be collapsing and eroded. Motorcycles and bicycles can only cross in this bridge.

Because of this water dam, the wide and plain places particularly in the rice field areas will gain more water through irrigation system. The water irrigation start in here down to the rice field located in Barangay Poblacion Manticao near at National road. There are lots of fishes and crabs in here and it is good and perfect for taking a bathe. Manticao water Dam is one of the good and amazed sceneries here in the town, and I really amazed of the great sceneries.
