OK so I would love to say sorry for coming a bit late, I have been down health wise for some couple of days but thanks to God that I am recovering. Now my tale about shoes may be a bit funny. I am a flip flop kinda person, I love something really flat but you know there are some occasions you go that demands you to use more than just a flip flop. So this day I bought an high heel, you know just to feel among the crowd less anyone should think I couldn't afford it๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰, hmmm my fellow women I regretted using that shoe to the occasion, the show so pained me that I couldn't bear it again I had to remove it and held it in my hands, people seeing me doing such were wondering if I was sane, because the coal tar was so hot due to the sun that day but I didn't care, I just wanted my freedom. So I mounted the road barefooted not minding whom was following me, seriously I didn't care o because if I was to fall down from those high heels it is still the onlookers that will still laugh at me. Some might even say in our Nigeria local parlance (See as person Carey her money go buy trouble), which means look at how a young girl carries her own hard earn money and buy trouble, now the trouble they are revering to is the shoes๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.
Since that experience if i know or for see that I won't be comfortable on a shoe i dare not purchase it or if they shoe is too find I purchase it then I maw sure that the day I will be putting it on I have my flip flop to help me when I can't take the pains any longer.

Another shoe experience in had was when the choir group I joined that's @Ascribebreedmusic demanded that we we all use white sneakers, and again so that I won't look awkward I went ahead to purchase a white sneakers, I wore the sneakers at the shoe shop where I went to but to my greatest surprise when it was the the D-day for the program and I put it on, oh boy I for die, pain no be here o, as I com waka with the shoe (Nigerian parlance) meaning the pain was out of this world when I wore it on the said day of the program, but I had to manage it bear the pains, till I was done, when I finally got home, oh God I really needed a massage, cos I got blisters on my toes and all of that.
Again I vowed never ever to buy what would likely give me trouble at the end๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—.

I'd like to call on @udygold and @zellypearl to participate, and click here for the link of the contest.

Heels or sneakers... same o', same o'!!!
Hehehe... ๐Ÿ˜
Thanks for sharing your stories, @glotokes!
Good luck with the contest.
Friends can help you define your priorities. People tend to pick friends who are similar to them. Because we fall prey so easily into this similarity trap, it is important to try to stretch yourself to learn from some of those opposites. There is some truth to the saying that โ€œBirds of the same feathers, flock together.โ€ Knowing this can help you grow by expanding your range of friends and trying out some new points of view.
Ladies of Hive can be the place where you can grow.
