Beautiful morning everyone,

Welcome to Afritines week 61. Super excited and grateful to be here with this week's presentation. Today I will be doing a cover of the song "Oh my Child" by Jaymikee. Jaymikee is a Nigerian gospel musician and he is also the son of the popular Nigerian Gospel actor Mike Bamiloye. They have a production company where they produce Christian movies and they are quite successful. I grow up watching their movies.

Jaymikee happens to be very gifted with music and he's usually the one writing and singing the songs they use in most of their movies. And trust me, those songs are powerful. I do listen to a lot of his songs and this one is one ofmy favourite.

The reason why I love this particular song is because it's lyrics is so rich. The song is like a communication between our heavenly father and us. Most especially when we that have lost hope. It encourages us not to give up on our faith. To stand on our ground because the answers to our prayers is on it ways. It also reminds us that God has a plan for us and He never forget us. We should take all our burdens before him and he will give us rest.

Singing the song wasn't that easy for me because the key was a little but low but I did try my best to sing it as best as I could and I do hope you enjoy it and also blessed by it.

Bienvenidos a la semana 61 de Afritines. Súper emocionados y agradecidos de estar aquí con la presentación de esta semana. Hoy haré un cover de la canción "Oh my Child" de Jaymikee. Jaymikee es un músico de gospel nigeriano y también es hijo del popular actor de gospel nigeriano Mike Bamiloye. Tienen una productora donde producen películas cristianas y tienen bastante éxito. Crecí viendo sus películas.

Jaymikee tiene un gran talento para la música y suele ser él quien escribe y canta las canciones que usan en la mayoría de sus películas. Y créanme, esas canciones son poderosas. Escucho muchas de sus canciones y esta es una de mis favoritas.

La razón por la que amo esta canción en particular es porque su letra es muy rica. El canto es como una comunicación entre nuestro padre celestial y nosotros. Más especialmente cuando hemos perdido la esperanza. Nos anima a no renunciar a nuestra fe. Mantenernos firmes porque las respuestas a nuestras oraciones están en camino. También nos recuerda que Dios tiene un plan para nosotros y nunca se olvida de nosotros. Debemos llevar todas nuestras cargas delante de él y él nos dará descanso.

Cantar la canción no fue tan fácil para mí porque la clave era un poco baja, pero hice todo lo posible para cantarla lo mejor que pude y espero que la disfruten y que también los bendiga.
