We may all feel that today is our opportunity to invest because tomorrow that great opportunity to get rich may be over, and there may be many reasons why we think this, mainly when we are novices and think that there is only one opportunity to get rich, that if the markets have 5 years going up it is because there will be 5 years where they can keep going up, and the best time to invest is today.
The reality is that this is something basic to the feeling of FOMO, and although it may be something generalized in the markets (the reason why prices go up), the reality is that it is temporary and will end at some point, which is when there are fewer people buying and more people selling.
It is easy to see how the ambition in the markets changes over time, as approximately every 10 years an interesting crisis can occur that makes the markets correct, but we can also see small crises that occur every 2 or 3 years and where it is normal to see several people thinking that the end of the assets has come.
Stocks cannot go up infinitely, cryptos cannot go up infinitely, and commodities cannot go up infinitely either, for the simple reason that they can only have the market cap commensurate with the amount of money in circulation, and although more can be printed in the future, they still have the limit of the amount of money in circulation and that besides having this limit, it must be seen that this money is distributed among the different markets, so if they can rise in price over time, but it is also true that they will always have a limit that is becoming higher, although it is still a limit.
Today we are seeing how many people with high purchasing power are selling their shares, and this means that more people with low purchasing power are required to move the markets upwards, which unfortunately for many who have all their savings invested, it is difficult to happen, and the easiest thing is that a crisis comes that makes it evident that the markets reached their peak and now we have to wait several months or years to see new highs (if we are going to see new highs in the future).
Anyway, nothing goes up forever and nothing goes down forever, and currently we have several years on the rise, and as far as we can see, it is difficult that this will remain so for several more years, so it is interesting that we prepare for a correction and this does not mean that we sell everything, but that we adjust our portfolio according to the current risk.

Todos podemos sentir que hoy es nuestra oportunidad de invertir porque mañana se puede acabar esa gran oportunidad de hacernos ricos, y pueden haber muchas razones por las cuales pensamos esto, principalmente cuando somos novatos y pensamos que solo existe una oportunidad para hacerse rico, que si los mercados tienen 5 años subiendo es porque vendrán 5 años donde pueden seguir subiendo, y el mejor momento para invertir es hoy.
La realidad es que esto es algo básico en la sensación de FOMO, y aunque puede ser algo generalizado en los mercados (la razón por la que los precios suben), la realidad es que es algo temporal y se va a acabar en algún momento, que es cuando existan menos personas comprando y más personas vendiendo.
Es fácil ver cómo cambia la ambición en los mercados con el paso del tiempo, ya que aproximadamente cada 10 años puede ocurrir una crisis interesante que haga que los mercados corrijan, pero también podemos ver pequeñas crisis que ocurren cada 2 o 3 años y donde es normal ver a varias personas pensando que ha llegado el fin de los activos.
Las acciones no pueden subir de forma infinita, las criptos no pueden subir de forma infinita, y las materias primas tampoco pueden subir de forma infinita, por la simple razón que solo pueden tener la capitalización de mercado acorde a la cantidad de dinero que hay en circulación, y aunque se puede imprimir más en el futuro, siguen teniendo el límite de la cantidad de dinero en circulación y que además de tener ese límite, se debe ver que este dinero se distribuye entre los diferentes mercados, por lo que si pueden subir de precio a lo largo del tiempo, pero también es cierto que siempre tendran un limite que se va haciendo mas alto, aunque sigue siendo un límite.
Hoy en día estamos viendo como muchas personas con alto poder adquisitivo están vendiendo sus acciones, y esto significa que se requiere a más personas con bajo poder adquisitivo para poder mover los mercados al alza, lo cual lamentablemente para muchos que tienen todos los ahorros invertidos, es difícil que ocurra, y lo más fácil es que venga una crisis que haga que sea evidente que los mercados llegaron a su pico y ahora hay que esperar varios meses o años para poder ver nuevos máximos (si vamos a ver nuevos máximos en el futuro).
En fin, nada sube para siempre ni baja para siempre, y actualmente tenemos varios años en alza, y por lo que se puede ver, es difícil que esto se mantenga así a través de varios años más, por lo que es interesante que nos preparemos para una corrección y esto no quiere decir que vendamos todo, sino que ajustemos nuestro portafolio en función del riesgo actual.
