Hace poco escribí sobre mi pequeño sobrino Mateo David y el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes sobre la hermanita de Mateo, quien es un amor; se trata de Mía Salomé y aunque no lleva mi sangre, es como si así fuese porque desde que estaba en el vientre de su mami la esperábamos para llenarla de mucho amor.

A little while ago I wrote about my little nephew Mateo David and today I want to share with you about Mateo's little sister, who is a sweetheart; she is Mía Salomé and although she does not carry my blood, it is as if it were so because since she was in her mommy's womb we were waiting for her to fill her with lots of love.

Hoy recibí una llamada de Paola, la mamá de ambos pequeños y mi mayor sorpresa fue cuando me dijo que me eligió para ser la madrina de bautizo de Mía noticia que me llenó de felicidad porque es el rol de segunda madre, ya que al convertirme en su madrina ante la iglesia me comprometeré a cuidar de ella en caso de que a su mami le suceda algo como es costumbre al momento de la ceremonia y claro que tengo ahijados, pero ya están grandes además que son varones, Mía es primera ahijada quien además ocupa un lugar especial en mi corazón por muchas razones entre las que destacan que es una ternura, es la hermanita de mi Mateo y que es una chiquita que solo cuenta con mi familia aunque tiene a su papi, pero él es muy despegado de ella .

Today I received a call from Paola, the mother of both little ones and my biggest surprise was when she told me that she chose me to be the godmother of Mia's baptism, news that filled me with happiness because it is the role of second mother, since by becoming her godmother before the church I will commit myself to take care of her in case something happens to her mommy as it is customary at the time of the ceremony and of course I have godchildren, Mia is my first goddaughter who also holds a special place in my heart for many reasons among which stand out that she is a tenderness, she is the little sister of my Mateo and she is a little girl who only has my family although she has her daddy, but he is very detached from her.

El caso es que ahora existirá un lazo mucho más fuerte entre nosotras y eso para mí es importante, Mía siempre ha sido mimada por mis hijos y por mi ya que mis hijos siempre quisieron una hermanita, pero al no poder tenerla, pues asumieron a esta pequeña como de su sangre. Ella ha sido tan consentida que aun con casi tres años de edad apenas está dejando los pañales y en cuanto a la comunicación hablada, esta ha sido difícil porque ella aún no habla y cuando lo hace parece asiática ja ja ja realmente no exagero, ella habla idéntica a una persona asiática y hace gestos como si en realidad estuviese en una conversación, se ve muy cómica al comunicarse con otros.

The thing is that now there will be a much stronger bond between us and that for me is important, Mia has always been spoiled by my children and me because my children always wanted a little sister, but not being able to have one, they assumed this little girl as their own blood. She has been so spoiled that even at almost three years old she is just out of diapers and as for spoken communication, this has been difficult because she still does not speak and when she does she looks Asian ha ha ha I am not exaggerating, she talks just like an Asian person and makes gestures as if she was actually in a conversation, she looks very funny when communicating with others.

Esto sucede ya que al principio la niña fue muy consentida, pero la mamá, al ver que no pronunciaba ni una palabra, se preocupó y la llevó con la pediatra, quien manifestó que no hay de que preocuparse por ahora, puesto que aún está en edad temprana donde puede guarear o balbucear, si llega a los cuatro años de edad y aún continua sin hablar entonces si será remitida a un especialista para iniciar con terapias de lenguaje.
Esta chiquita no habla, pero como yo le digo "sabes más que pescado frito", frase muy popular en mi llano ja ja ella al momento de vestirse quiere decidir que ropa usar y si la mamá le impone algo que ella no quiere parece un elefantito con la trompa, le fascinan los sombreros y gorros, ni hablar de los lentes de sol, se caracteriza por ser una damita muy coqueta y determinada, cualquiera que la ve piensa que es toda una parlanchina pero de seguro pronto lo será y en ese momento no me quiero ni imaginar como hablará sin parar Dentro de las cosas que no le agrada es comer de todo, es complicada con el tema de la alimentación, ya que lo único que le gusta es su alimento en el tetero, pasta puede ser larga o corta, con mantequilla, queso o salsa boloñesa y sus infaltables pastelitos o bollitos con queso; algo que si me preocupa porque todo lo anteriormente nombrado no la alimenta como tal y por más que se le trate de dar a comer otros alimentos ella no abre la boca a menos que sea lo que le gusta.

This little girl does not speak, but as I tell her "you know more than fried fish", a very popular phrase in my llano ha ha ha she wants to decide what to wear when she gets dressed and if her mother imposes something she does not want she looks like an elephant with her trunk, she is fascinated by hats and caps, not to mention sunglasses, she is characterized for being a very flirtatious and determined little lady, Anyone who sees her thinks she is a chatterbox, but for sure she will be soon and at that moment I don't even want to imagine how she will talk non-stop. One of the things she doesn't like is to eat everything, she is complicated with the feeding issue, since the only thing she likes is her food in the teat, pasta can be long or short, with butter, cheese or bolognese sauce and her inevitable cupcakes or scones with cheese; Something that worries me because everything previously mentioned does not feed her as such and no matter how hard I try to feed her other foods she does not open her mouth unless it is what she likes.

Tenemos esperanzas que para el próximo año escolar inicie en un preescolar donde de seguro al estar en un nuevo ambiente, rodeada de niños que hablen y las maestras canten canciones infantiles, pues se entusiasmará en darle apertura a su vocabulario para no quedarse atrás con sus compañeritos, por ahora escasamente dice mamá, abu, agua y no. Cuando cumplió sus dos añitos tratábamos como de obligarla a que pronunciara palabras, ella molesta se alejaba, pero gracias a dios nos dimos cuenta de que lo único que conseguiríamos era trabarla más y no sé si fue eso lo que pasó o es simple flojera de ella, pero estamos tranquilas porque ya la pediatra dio su opinión y sabemos que no es nada de que preocuparse.

We hope that for the next school year she will start in a preschool where she will surely be in a new environment, surrounded by talking children and teachers singing nursery rhymes, she will be enthusiastic in opening her vocabulary so as not to be left behind with her classmates. When she turned two years old we tried to force her to pronounce words, she was annoyed and moved away, but thank God we realized that the only thing we would achieve was to make her get more stuck and I don't know if that's what happened or if it's just her laziness, but we are calm because the pediatrician gave her opinion and we know it's nothing to worry about.

Mientras tanto pondremos manos a la obra para organizar todo lo referente al bautizo y festejar sus tres añitos dentro de nuestras posibilidades, porque los más importante es que Mía Salomé se encuentre con salud y vida.

In the meantime, we will get down to work to organize everything related to the baptism and celebrate her third birthday within our possibilities, because the most important thing is that Mía Salomé is healthy and alive.
