If a person is going to tattoo a tree, it seems like the person at least ought to put something on there trees like. A wood carving of a pretty bird, or a lovely rainbow...maybe a large tree branch crushing a tent.
That bloody one is an excellently sad finale.

Maybe finding a good campsite should involve inspecting the nearby trees to see if they might have a reason to seek revenge.
