Those munkki look really tasty. I'd happy have a cheat day for a plate of those.
I'll assume that you never measure the temp of the oil. Do you go by sound?

How can you assume I’d be so careless with hot oil and baking!? 😝 You are absolutely right though, I don’t use a thermometer. I usually look at the oil, put my hand close to it and then sacrifice one munkki hole. It’s pretty easy to see from the bubbling if the oil is a good temp.
