What it's like to be the mother of a child

Khael me dice :

Mama quiero que te pongas el traje de la mujer maravilla y yo me pondre el de batman para luchar los dos contra el mal.

Khael tells me:

Mom I want you to put on Wonder Woman's costume and I'll put on Batman's to fight against evil.

Asi comienzan nuestros juegos , la mayoria son de superheroes y casualmente yo no soy la princesa que rescata , sino su compañera de aventuras dentro del juego .

That's how our games start, most of them are superhero games and I'm not the princess he rescues, but his partner in adventure in the game.

Generalmente nuestros juegos son muy dinámicos, porque eso es ser la mama de un niño, tener energia que alcance para todo el dia .

Khael es mi hijo , tiene 4 años y es una fuente inagotable de energia , siempre esta ocupado haciendo algo, el tiene sus rutinas de responsabilidades pero luego de eso su vida es estar saltando y jugando .

Generally our games are very dynamic, because that's what it is to be the mother of a child, to have energy for the whole day.

Khael is my son, he is 4 years old and he is an inexhaustible source of energy, he is always busy doing something, he has his routines of responsibilities but after that his life is jumping and playing.

El la mayor parte del tiempo si esta su papa en casa , le gusta estar con él , creo que es porque se siente identificado y su papá tambien trata de vincularlo en todas las actividades que realiza , ya sea labores del hogar o trabajando.

El entiende claramente que es un niño y tal vez por eso creo que tiene mas afinidad con su papá..

Most of the time if his dad is at home, he likes to be with him, I think it is because he feels identified and his dad also tries to link him in all the activities he does, whether it is housework or working.

He clearly understands that he is a child and maybe that's why I think he has more affinity with his father.

A khael le gusta mucho los deportes , aprendio a nadar con nosotros en casa y a manejar bicicleta , lo hace muy bien , a veces me da miedo porque quiere intentar cosas que creo que para su edad , son un poco peligrosas, pero aun así siempre lo motivamos a que pueda intentar cosas nuevas , tambien cuando se cae , le enseñamos que no debe esperar que nadie lo levante que se pare se limpie y continue . Que asi es la vida con sus tropiezos , pero hay que seguir adelante.

Khael likes sports very much, he learned to swim with us at home and to ride a bike, he does very well, sometimes he scares me because he wants to try things that I think are a little dangerous for his age, but even so we always motivate him to try new things, also when he falls, we teach him that he should not wait for anyone to pick him up, he should stand up, clean himself and continue. Hace unas semanas atrás decidimos que comenzara a practicar beisbol, entonces lo he estado llevando a las practicas , y eso a permitido que nos unamos mas , por que siempre en medio de los entrenamientos el me busca con la mirada para saber si yo estoy alli viendolo y apoyandolo desde la distancia.

Les confieso que siempre habia pensado que iba a tener una niña , porque me encantan , pero cuando fuimos a hacernos el eco y nos enteramos que era un varon me sorprendi un poco , pero di gracias a Dios por la bendición dada , y luego cuando nacio no podia creer que yo una mujer daba vida a un hombre , esto es maravilloso, definitivamente un regalo .

`I confess that I had always thought that I was going to have a girl, because I love them, but when we went for an ultrasound and found out that it was a boy I was a little surprised, but I thanked God for the blessing given, and then when he was born I could not believe that I a woman gave life to a man, this is wonderful, definitely a gift.

Para mi ser la mamá de khael a sido lo mejor que me a pasado en la vida , el es un niño muy tierno , lleno de inocencia , y con un deseo inquietante por aprender cosas nuevas , su curiosidad es insaciable , tiene una preocupación genuina por el bienestar de los que lo rodean que a veces me sorprendo .

For me being Khael's mother has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, he is a very tender child, full of innocence, and with a restless desire to learn new things, his curiosity is insatiable, he has a genuine concern for the welfare of those around him that sometimes surprises me.

Hace un tiempo atrás mi hermano llamado christiano que es #autista , tuvo una crisis muy intensa , grito y se comporto de una manera un poco dificil , para no entrar en muchos detalles , mi hermano no queria tener a nadie cerca , y bueno tratamos de entenderlo y darle su espacio , de repente cuando se le estaba pasando la crisis a mi hermano , veo que khael se le acerca, le toma de mano lo sienta y lo abraza , le toca el rostro y le dice tranquilo todo va a estar bien , esto aun lo recuerdo y provoca lagrimas en mi , porque veo la nobleza de su corazón y la sinceridad de sus sentimientos .

Some time ago my brother named christiano who is #autista , had a very intense crisis , he screamed and behaved in a way a little difficult , not to go into too much detail , my brother did not want to have anyone around , and well we tried to understand him and give him his space , Suddenly when the crisis was passing to my brother, I see that Khael approaches him, takes his hand, sits him down and hugs him, touches his face and tells him everything will be fine, I still remember this and it brings tears to my eyes, because I see the nobility of his heart and the sincerity of his feelings.

Nosotros hemos tratado de enseñarle valores importantes que le moldearan su carácter, como el amor a Dios , el respeto a las personas , la disciplina , estamos cada dia en ese proceso para que llegue a ser un hombre de bien , alguien que aporte cosas buenas a la sociedad .
