[ENG][ESP] The long awaited day arrived // El día tan esperado llegó

     Hello to all the Gems community, as I told you in my previous post, in these last 3 months quite a few things have happened, and although my intention was to tell you about them in chronological order, I think there is no better post to start with than this one, our wedding anniversary.

     Hola a toda la comunidad de Gems, como les conté en mi anterior post, en estos últimos 3 meses han pasado bastantes cosas, y aunque mi intención era contárselas en orden cronológico, creo que no hay mejor post para comenzar que este, nuestro aniversario de novios.

     That's right, time flies by, my girlfriend and I were about to celebrate 12 incredible months together in love, understanding, tolerance, mutual and unconditional support and, above all, a lot of happiness, so this day could not go unnoticed, so, since several weeks before we were planning something very special for that date, we were not very clear about what we would do, but we were excited about the idea of doing something different that day.

     Así es, el tiempo pasa volando, mi novia y yo estábamos por cumplir 12 increíbles meses juntos en amor, comprensión, tolerancia, apoyo mutuo e incondicional y, sobre todo, mucha felicidad, por lo que este día no podía pasar desapercibido, así que, desde varias semanas antes estábamos planeando algo muy especial para esa fecha, no teníamos muy claro el qué haríamos, pero nos emocionaba la idea de hacer algo diferente ese día.

     While we were planning this, each one of us had something up our sleeves, and each one decided to surprise the other in a very particular way. For my part, I decided to give him a couple of surprises, and the one that excited me the most was to give him a promise ring that I had been looking forward to give him for a long time, this ring represents the promise that in the future it will be replaced by an engagement ring, and soon after by a wedding ring, so for me this ring had a very big meaning, so I could not give him just any ring, this one had to be spectacular, so for several days I was visiting jewelry stores, but I did not like any of them, until a few days later, I found the right one, a beautiful silver ring with pearls that I was sure she would love, and with the ring in my hands, I knew that something essential was missing, the box, so I went through several stores looking for a box that was worthy of a ring like this, and luckily, I found it, there was only one left in that store, so I did not hesitate and I bought it.

     Mientras planeábamos eso, cada quien se tenía algo bajo la manga, y es que cada uno decidió sorprender al otro de una forma muy particular. Por mi parte, decidí darle un par de sorpresas, y la que más me emocionaba era darle un anillo de promesa que desde tiempo atrás me hacía mucha ilusión dárselo, este anillo representa la promesa de que en un futuro este será sustituido por uno de compromiso, y poco después por uno de matrimonio, así que para mí este tenía un significado muy grande, así que no podía darle cualquier anillo, este tenía que ser espectacular, por lo que por varios días estuve visitando joyerías, pero ninguno me terminaba de gustar, hasta que unos días más tarde, encontré el indicado, un hermoso anillo plateado con perlas que estaba seguro que le encantaría, ya con el anillo en mis manos, sabía que faltaba algo primordial, la caja, así que me recorrí varias tiendas buscando una cajita que fuera digna de un anillo como este, y por suerte, lo encontré, solo quedaba una en esa tienda, así que no lo dudé y la compré.

     In addition to that, I wanted to give her something that would be useful for her but that she would not expect at all, then I remembered that some time ago my girlfriend told me that she needed a light ring to make up, she does not make up very often, but the times she did it was quite difficult because of the poor lighting she has in her room, so I immediately knew that this would be the right gift. Along with that I decided to give her her favorite chocolate, a Cri Cri, plus a mascara for eyelashes that she also needed for a long time, and of course, a letter that I wrote her with love, but now I needed something to put all the gifts together, so I contacted a friend of mine to make me a custom-made one, and so my gift was ready, although there was one or two surprises left.

     Adicionalmente a eso, quería regalarle algo que fuera útil para ella pero que no se lo esperara en lo más mínimo, entonces recordé que hace algún tiempo atrás mi novia me comentó que necesitaba un aro de luz para maquillarse, ella no es de maquillarse muy seguido, pero las veces que lo hacía se lo dificultaba bastante por la poca iluminación que tiene en su cuarto, así de inmediato supe que este sería el regalo indicado. Junto con eso decidí darle su chocolate preferido, un Cri Cri, además de un rímel para pestañas que también desde hace tiempo que necesitaba, y por supuesto, una carta que con mucho amor le escribí, pero ahora necesitaba algo para juntar todos los regalos, así que me puse en contacto con una amiga mía para que me hiciera una a la medida, y así mi regalo estaba listo, aunque quedaba una que otra sorpresa.

     The long awaited day arrived, I was very anxious to see her excited face to see her surprise, especially her reaction when she saw the ring, which was what made me most excited, she had been expecting it for a while, but she did not imagine what ring I would give her, she was super delighted with her gift, and my heart melted with so much tenderness that gave off her wide smile. Now it was her turn to give me my gift, and she really showed off with a big gift box, adorned with a blue ribbon, but that was only the beginning, inside it was a spectacular flannel, a perfume that I have always needed, a box of Pirulin, a beautiful letter and a super elegant shiny golden watch, which I have wanted for quite some time, definitely my girlfriend showed off with those gifts.

     Llegó el día tan esperado, estaba muy ansioso por ver su carita de emoción al ver su sorpresa, sobre todo, su reacción al ver el anillo, que era lo que más me hacía ilusión, ella ya se lo esperaba desde hace un tiempo, pero no se imaginaba que anillo le daría, estaba súper encantada con su regalo, y yo con el corazón derretido de tanta ternura que desprendía su sonrisa de par en par. Ahora le tocaba a ella entregarme mi regalo, y vaya que se lució con una gran caja de regalo, adornada con un lazo azul, pero eso solo era el principio, dentro de ella se encontraban una franela espectacular, un perfume que desde siempre me ha hecho falta, una caja de Pirulin, una carta de lo más hermosa y un reloj dorado brillante súper elegante, que desde hace bastante tiempo quería, definitivamente mi novia de lució con esos regalos.

     As I told you above, we wanted to do something different that day, so we decided to spend the day at the pool of the Hotel "El Fuerte" and take the opportunity to eat a good lunch worthy of that day in the restaurant of the same hotel, but remember I told you that there was a surprise missing, because at about 9 am an unexpected gift arrived, a bouquet of roses that I had ordered for her with much love, because she loves roses and had always wanted me to give her some beautiful roses.

     Como les conté más arriba, queríamos hacer algo diferente ese día, por lo que decidimos pasar el día en la piscina del Hotel “El Fuerte” y aprovechar para comernos un buen almuerzo digno de ese día en el restaurante del mismo hotel, pero ¿se acuerdan que les dije que faltaba una sorpresa?, pues a eso de las 9 de la mañana llegó un regalo inesperado, un ramo de rosas que había encargado para ella con mucho amor, ya que ella adora las rosas y siempre había querido que le regalara unas hermosas rosas.

     After that we started to get ready to go to the restaurant and then to the pool, so we tried to dress as best as possible for the occasion, plus we were going to proceed to do the photo shoot for the long awaited date. A while later we were already enjoying excellent Gordon Blue accompanied by some good piña coladas, this was a very special date for both of us, and we had to celebrate it as it deserves.

     Luego de eso comenzamos a enlistarnos para ir al restaurante y luego a la piscina, así que tratamos de vestirnos lo mejor posible para la ocasión, además de que íbamos a proceder a hacer la sesión de fotos correspondiente a tan esperada fecha. Un rato más tarde ya estábamos disfrutando de excelente Gordon Blue acompañado de unas buenas piñas coladas, esta era una fecha muy especial para los dos, y había que celebrarla como se merece.

     After a while, it was time for the pool, my girlfriend loves the sea, beaches, pools... so seeing her there so happy enjoying the water was the best feeling in the world, we were there for a while swimming back and forth, enjoying the water and the good weather that day, and of course, as it could not miss, we took many pictures, so that the memory of that day would always be with us.

     Luego de un rato, era momento de la piscina, mi novia ama el mar, las playas, las piscinas… por lo que verla allí tan feliz disfrutando del agua era la mejor sensación del mundo, estuvimos durante un buen rato allí nadando de aquí para allá, disfrutando del agua y del buen clima que estaba haciendo ese día, y por supuesto, como no podía faltar, nos tomamos muchas fotos, para que el recuerdo de ese día siempre estuviera con nosotros.

     It was an incredible day, full of enjoyment, laughter, good food and above all, lots and lots of love, it was an incredible year, in which we achieved everything we set out to do and enjoyed to the fullest, but that day is just the beginning, we still have thousands of adventures, dreams and goals to accomplish, so from that same afternoon we were already asking ourselves... and next year what will we do, undoubtedly an unforgettable August 15th.

     Fue un día increíble, lleno de disfrute, risas, buena comida y sobre todo, mucho, pero mucho amor, fue un año increíble, en el que logramos todo lo que nos propusimos y disfrutamos al máximo, pero ese día es apenas el principio, aún nos falta miles de aventuras, sueños y metas que cumplir, por lo que desde esa misma tarde ya nos estábamos preguntando… ¿y el año que viene que haremos?, sin duda alguna un 15 de agosto inolvidable.
