In the Tutorial, I was opportune to learn about lots of things which were broken under two Main categories which are:

• The first among this sub-group is The Hive Keys: Just like other social platforms (i.e Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) with which we operate, you will notice before you could have access to your account you have to input the set password to give you access. This is no different here, the Hive keys are simply put in place to give users/account owners real and strong access with control over their account. It is important that we all try as much as possible to safeguard these keys to avoid future damages like loss of account or theft.

Furthermore, these Hive Keys are further divided into various parts regulated by their specific functions, these keys are:

• OWNER KEY: The owner key among all the keys is simply the overall of them all, it simply gives the user full control and authority of his/her account. With the possession of these keys, the following operations can be carried out. Change Password, Change Keys, Recover Account etc.

• ACTIVE KEY: The active key is Basically designed for monetary operations which may come in different forms such as: Transfer Funds, Power up/down, Voting Witnesses/Proposals, etc. This key comes in handy under wallet operations.

• POSTING KEY: This is usually the most common and paramount, it is mostly used in the blog which allows users to perform the following operations. Post, Comment, Vote, Reblog, Follow, Profile, etc. It is therefore seen as the basic operation key.

• MEMO KEY: This is a key that allows an account owner to decrypt and encrypt messages. Its basic functions are, Send/View encrypted messages on transfers, etc.

• One very important additional key which can be seen in every keychain pdf, is usually at the first key immediately after the user name of the account. It is called the *MASTER KEY** which on the key pdf it is being referred to as the *PASSWORD` It is therefore used for the retrieval of all keys in case of loss and other circumstances that may arise.

In the tutorial, we were therefore tutored on how to locate these keys on the Hive blockchain which are therefore illustrated/shown in the screenshots below.

• The first thing to do is click on The wallet Button, then you will be directed to your wallet.

• On the already loaded page of the wallet, there are multiple subsections there which are: Balance, Delegation, Also Keys & Permissions, change password, etc. All you have to do is click on the Keys & Permissions section and all information about the various keys will display.

The second section of the tutorial gets to talk about account recovery which is very rare in some cases but it is important for us newbies to know these and therefore effectively know how to recover accounts in case of uncertainties in the future to come.

Knowing how to recover accounts, therefore, gives us an edge to help us get back our lost accounts, stollen accounts, or in case our account keys are lost.

In your opinion, what are the best ways of keeping your keys safe?

There are numerous ways of keeping our keys safe from theft or from getting lost.
For me, the first option I will go by is to simply create a separate folder on my device and remove the key from the download button and put in this folder which will hence be encrypted. Doing this will therefore remove the visibility of my key from my transfers app like the xender, x-share, etc to avoid theft.

Also, I can equally upload my keys to my email account but this can be risky on the other hand a small break in transmission of these sites can lead to system failure, and hence our keys therefore exposed to fraud.

On the other hand, I can look for a new notepad and write down my keys there and keep very safe on my bookshelf to also have had a hard copy in case of a system crash, phone reset, or data loss.

How do you check your recovery account and what process is needed to recover an account?

The other important section of the Tutorial was simply on ACCOUNT RECOVERY Which is the second section of the Tutorial class. This is very much one important aspect of the Hive blockchain a user is supposed to acquaint him/herself in the case of future loss, or account theft, for it, therefore, gives the use leverage to recover their accounts.

The process of account recovery can therefore be done through the help of a TRUSTEE which I was made to know that there are accounts assigned to our various accounts in case of this very purpose (account recovery).

In the process of account recovery, the following steps can therefore be sued to guide us to achieve this very purpose.

• There will be multiple options popping up all that is to be done is click on what concerns you at that moment which is account recovery.

• Along the line with instructions given, we will have to generate a new password, and a new public key will also be generated and this key will therefore be sent to the trustee. And in the end, we will be asked to give in the account username we are recovering, and also the new password recently generated.

I will therefore say to avoid going through this process it is therefore very necessary to safeguard these keys to avoid any form of loss, theft, or fraudulent activities in the nearest future.
