So for today's episode, I will therefore base this on the following subheadings listed below.

The Manipulative parent
Almost every Nigerian kid got an experience on this one. As a kid growing up back then, we lived our life always looking up to our parents since we were under our parents hence they took advantage of this and made wise use of it.
Our parents always had that manipulative touch on them that they had made proper use of in keeping us on track. Their favorite promises back then were how they were going to kill a chicken for you if you came first in your class. This was the statement was always used to make us work harder, from the unset it was very enticing and we worked extra hard to make sure we came out with what will help us eat chicken but at the end of the day, there was always no chicken for you. It was just a mere statement to get you to do well in school. Lol.

My mom was always fond of this, but nothing always came out. My friend equally shared his experiences with me, in his words When I had eaten up to five (5) chickens from his grandmother, no mother told them to stop He was even lucky to eat up to that amount, my parents give you chicken say they fear you. lol.
The Borrowing Parent
If I am to count how much of my money is with my mother right from when I was a kid up to this age of mine, the money given to my mom all in the name of Borrow Me I will pay you back, it will help me buy my self a plot of land at Banana Island Lagos. lolx..
I don't know about other parents but my mom is very much fond of this, she always had her way. The funny thing here is we kept giving her the money even when we knew she wouldn't pay it back, but every time they come to borrow they come up with an entirely different story.
My mom will be like, borrow me that your money nah make I take pay transport go market when I come I go pay you back the innocent me will still go get the money for her. When it is time to pay back that is when you hear all the stories and full notebook of things they have been doing for you. lol. Always frustrating but, it is what it is. Presently, my sister is going through the same thing, is this really a born trait for Nigerian mothers? lolz.
Laziness, a little motivation, and more laziness
Have you woken up one morning and had this vibe of how many things you were going to accomplish in a day? You give yourself that motivation on how these things you will do will go out well, but from this onset, this motivation is coming as a result of you being lazy to do those things. But along the process of motivating yourself, you feel so empowered but after that phase, you just return to a more lazy state than before.

Me the next munite
This is usually me waking up and thinking of how many posts I am to make, I will have that perfect picture of how well this post will go and what I stand to gain from them and will carry my working tools to make a post but all of a sudden, omoh this is me putting on my data, playing music alongside, watching videos online, like this will be the time I multitask myself in doing nothing. But all this time, dee down my mind will be like but you are supposed to make a post ohhh, omohhh the boy will still not send ohhh... lolx
Misinterpretation of ideas/something When someone waving was actually waving at someone else
If you have ever felt this way, omohh, just come and let's gather here to cry. lolx
This is very much embarrassing and funny simultaneously. For I am always a victim of this. While walking on the road I might see somebody I feel may know me, and when they make a move to wave or might be waving at someone or something else I will raise my hand hoping it was me it was for only to discover that it wasn't. ahhhhhh.......
The Malfunctioning TV Remote
There are always involuntary acts that always follow up when we are with a remote that seems not to function properly.

I don't know if we are always being told that when the remote is not function well it is because of the posture we stay in, that is when you see how people will start shifting from one place to another, how hands are turned in a different direction to see if the remotes work. I find this quite funny though.
The helicopter/plane sound
As a kid growing up, there were lots of things we did that I find very much interesting and quite funny. Coming to talk about those things the Helicopter/plane sound is one of them.
While growing up, when we heard the sound of a plan back then, we did always run out and tried our luck in trying to find where the sound was coming from. Most time we were lucky and sometimes we weren't.
But what really gets me on this is the fact that even as an adult now, we still do this most times. Like when we hear the sound of a plan we still raise our heads up to check if we did see the plan still. lolx.

Talk to me directly! I've felt the embarrassment that comes with waving back to someone who is waving at another, countless times... It's so embarrassing
And yeah, I'll buy a plot of land in Banana Island if mum should pay me back what she owes me.
But then, she will remind me of my feeding expenses from when I was a child up till now and include my schooling fees 🥲
Malfunctioning remote? We always have one at home 😂
Ahh we are into this together ohhhh.. like I hate that feeling, its too embarrassing, come and see how I will be trying to make the person notice so he/can wave back actually to avoid other people looking me like! What is this one doing sefffff.. lolxxx..
Out moms always have their ways with words oh I give them that.. my mom will be like okay let me start counting everything I have been doing for you, can this money clothe you, feed you and many others ahhhh.. I will just give up and know it is what it it's.

I remember my father saying that to me too, he make me always Serious in class that he would make mom cook for me a very delicious chicken but he never did, whenever the results is out.
I would go and tell him my position, instead of him saying let begins the celebration he would rather told me, I should have been the first position, "why do I took second" now a time come when I make it to the first position, that day he told me, he was trying to make me serious in school.
But I shouldn't worry that mom would cook the family usual dishes for everybody. LOL..

Omohh we have been in this situation as far back as I can remember it's quite annoying and disappointing most times but then we just kept on pushing harder for a hope of Oney day the chicken must be cooked. Lolx
