I AM A GHOST [] Ladies Of Hive 66

HAVE I EVER SEEN A GHOST? Well I am a ghost, or I like to see myself as one. Ghosts for me is a thing which is not seen by others, always in the shadows, whose voice is hardly heard either. This is exactly the reason why I see my self as ghost. I always find myself hiding in the shadows. I can actually stay indoors for several weeks without being seen or heard from by the outside world. Except for the compulsory need to step out to get food, money and other necessities of life, I can actually stay hidden in the shadows, unseen by the rest of the world for the rest of my life.

I'm sorry, I got drifted away there talking about a different ghost. Let's get back to the question. HAVE I EVER SEEN A GHOST? The actual scary, shady, mostly white, did I say scary and irritating ghosts. Even The thought of it gives me the chills. As a kid, I never believed in the existence of ghosts. It can be said that I wasn't scared of ghosts either. I guess you can't be scared of what you don't believe in. But then growing up, I heard a lot of stories, saw a lot of movies, experienced certain scenarios that made me rethink my opinion about ghosts. Let's check out these scenarios.

SCENE 1

I was sure they were ghosts. The annual exams were few days away, it was a tradition back in college to go for night classes and read till morning. Obviously not every body comes for these classes to read, some people came in search of free WiFi, Some came to show off their pretty cloths, some came to hang out with friends, some came to display their comedy skills, while some actually come to get laid. Every thing and anything happens in these night classes.

It was during such classes that it happened. Time check was 1am. I was half reading and half battling with sleep ,when suddenly strange noises were heard on the roof. At first it sounded like ghosts running, then it sounded like the roof was crumbling down on us. None of us waited to confirm what the noise was, we all took off with me leading the way of course. I left my books, my touch and every other thing I came with and ran for my dear life.

Few miles away from the class, sure that we were safe from the danger zone, that is when we started asking each other what happened. Funny enough nobody actually knew what happened or where the sound came from. Night class for that day was totally cancelled. It was the next day that we were told that three hefty bats were fighting on the roof.

SCENE 2

This happened back in high school, in Ss3. I have never been this scared in my life. I attended a military high school and the discipline there was top notch and they didn't joke with prayers either. Every Friday, after school the whole school stayed back for prayers, well except for muslims why were allowed to go to the mosque.

That particular Friday, a new physics teacher was in class. Most students hated physics Therefore more than half of the class wasn't paying attention to the teacher. This got the teacher pissed off and he swore to thoroughly discipline the next person he caught disturbing his class. It happened that it was a girl named Helen who fell into his trap. Unknown to the new teacher that Helen was asthmatic, he flogged her mercilessly and the girl collapsed and fainted. And it began.

There was chaos in the class. Half the class was trying to get Helen to the hospital, while the other half were trying to rip the teacher apart. He was saved by the intervention of the soldiers on duty.

It was a Friday, Therefore the prayers for the day was directed to the safe recovery of Helen, led by her best friend Mary Claire. The prayers got so intense that Mary Claire started acting like some powers came upon her. At a point she started speaking in tongues, then at some point she couldn't speak again and asked for a pen and paper to write what she saw. That was when She wrote in bold letters.

"HELEN IS DEAD"

The whole school was thrown in an uproar of wailing and confusion. We all believed that our beloved class mate was gone too soon. Few hours later, Helen walked through the school gate. Everybody started screaming

"Helen's ghost is here!"

With that everybody took off, running to safety. After several minutes of running helter skelter, it was discovered that It wasn't her ghost, rather Helen was fully alive. Till date I have no idea if Helen rose from the dead, or if Mary Claire was being a false prophet.

With that Said, HAVE I SEEN A GHOST? The answer to that would be No and I really hope I never get to see one.
