Pageantary Gown - DIY

Hello guys, guess who had a pageantary to attend. So I had to make for myself that lovely gown

I will show you how I came up with down part, the upper part is a bit complicated. For those of us that have an idea on corset, we know how difficult it could be to explain without a video.

So let's get started!

  • get your measurements ready.

  • fold the material into two.

  • mark from the top down to your desired length.

  • the top serves as the waist measurement point.

  • refer to my previous works to know your hip point n all.

  • mark out n cut.

  • spread the cut out part open n carve out one side.

  • the carving out the back must be smaller than that of the front side.

  • cut your lining out. Attach it to the lace.

  • cut a flare n attach hard gum to it.

  • join the sides of the skirt which are carved, together.

  • get your net and cut them into straight, pieces.

  • pleat them neatly all round the joint side. Repeat the bleating as many times as u want, to avoid it being scanty.

  • after that pleat your flare, neatly on the same part.

  • the down part of the gown is ready, I prepared upper part n attached to it.

By the way, it took me roughly 4hrs to finish this.

Hello, God Bless you, I love the making of that dress, especially the contrast you made in the corset with the cream colored fabric, which simulates a daring neckline. Keep up the good work.
