Pixel Posting | Finding My Way Up—with a Little Help, 5/7

Alright, time to continue my bouldering journey—and today I’ll talk not only about how my sessions go, but also about the people who made this whole experience so captivating. Spoiler: I didn’t do it alone.

It all started with my long-time friend, Mateusz. We’ve known each other since childhood—he’s always been someone I looked up to. Even as teenagers, we were different physically: I was more artistic, while he was always on the move. He was the guy who could easily do pull-ups while the rest of us were still mastering the basics. He never boasted about it, but you could always see that he had natural talent and strong determination.

It was Mateusz who got me into bouldering—taking me on our first trip to the climbing wall. From the very beginning, I felt like this was something for me.
I didn’t have any doubts, just a huge hunger for a new challenge. Sure, I was a bit rusty since I hadn’t been training regularly for a while, but my past gym experience started to pay off. Holding grips, working my legs, endurance—all of that slowly started coming back, and my body was reminding me day by day that it actually enjoys moving.

Our training sessions are usually long—around 3 to 4 hours—and we often combine them with additional strength exercises. After we get off the wall, we’ll do some pull-ups, core work, and weight exercises. This isn’t a "quick after-work workout," but a full-fledged session that leaves you completely exhausted but also incredibly fulfilled. And what’s truly beautiful about all of this is the energy from the people around.

Training sessions aren't the only thing that takes me a lot of time to finish, we finally get to the part where I'll show you one of my latest artworks, I hope you're gonna like it!

I don't know why, but I just love the vibe of cats chilling in the rain <3
Let's get back to the topic, let me tell you a bit more about my new passion!

At the climbing gym we go to, the atmosphere is amazing. The people are incredible—selfless, open, and full of support. No one acts like an expert, but as soon as they see you struggling with something, someone will step up with a helpful tip or a kind word.
Sometimes, just one sentence is enough for something to click in your mind, and you manage to complete a route that you’ve been stuck on for 20 minutes. And it’s not just about technique—it’s about genuinely feeling like you’re part of the group, even though you’re often surrounded by complete strangers.

That’s exactly why this whole experience has drawn me in so much. It’s not just the movement, not just the progress—it’s that sense of community that’s hard to find anywhere else...
Not many sports can offer you this type of experience, that's why it's good for shy / not really outgoing people that need a small bump to get into a conversation.

I'm planning to give you a bit more insight into my creation process, but most of the times I draw over the original sketch so today there won't be any ;p you have to forgive me haha.
