Saludos querida Comunidad de Pukumundo. En el marco del PukuConcurso “La Voz Cantante” Canto a Capella, Semana No. 5, les presento un canto que se hace en el oriente de Venezuela, específicamente en Carúpano, Estado Sucre. Se trata del Punto del Navegante, este es diferente a otros Puntos que les he presentado anteriormente a través de la red.

Decidí hacer este canto un poco por la proximidad a la época de Semana Santa, tiene una historia un poco a lo divino, esa conexión de la gente del pueblo con Jesús de Nazareth, este Punto se canta en forma de décimas, consta de una estrofa de diez versos (cada verso es una línea), se puede cantar a la Madre, a la naturaleza, a los hijos, al Padre, entre otros. Generalmente se hace a Capella en alta mar o en tierra firme y se ejecuta en cualquier época del año.

Greetings dear Pukumundo Community. As part of the PukuConcurso "La Voz Cantante" Canto a Capella, Week No. 5, I present a song that is done in eastern Venezuela, specifically in Carúpano, Sucre State. This is the "Punto del Navegante", this is different from other "Puntos" that I have previously presented to you through the net.

I decided to do this song a little bit because of the proximity to the Holy Week season, it has a history a little bit to the divine, that connection of the people of the town with Jesus of Nazareth, this point is sung in the form of tenths, consists of a stanza of ten verses (each verse is a line), you can sing to the Mother, to nature, to children, to the Father, among others.
