It Is Closer Than We Think.

Over the years, I have come to realize that happiness is an underrated feeling, despite being a universal aspiration. Is there anyone in his or her right state of mind who would love to wallow in sadness? I believe we all want to be happy, and that's why every individual keeps putting in different effort into achieving this goal.

Happiness is just like other emotions every human is capable of feeling; it's inside us, and we really don't need as much as we always think to access the feeling.

As a minimalist, staying happy is one of my goals, and it costs me almost nothing to go through every day of my life feeling happy. A lot of people around me find it difficult to know what's happening in my life because I am always happy, even when things aren't going very well for me.

It's impossible for us as humans not to have bad days, but my simple daily practices go a long way in helping me to stay happy.

Achieving happiness begins with gratitude, and for me, it is one of the easiest ways for anyone to ignite the feeling. Waking up to every new day sprinkles happiness on my soul, and that alone helps my day start brightly. There are a lot of things to be grateful for in life, but because we don't place any importance on them, we fail to appreciate them.

Sometimes ago, I always thought that my situation was the worst in life, but after going out there, I realized that I was an ingrate. As terrible as you think your journey in life is, there are people going through it worse than you.

Upon realizing that I am doing a lot better than some people in life, I don't fail to appreciate my existence. I feel content with everything about myself while working hard to improve in life. Feeling grateful can help you unlock an unlimited feeling of happiness, and the best part of it is that I just need to continue being grateful to maintain the feeling every day.

I derive happiness from showing any form of kindness, not just humans but animals as well, and this is another easy way to keep or boost my happiness. Being kind comes with a lot of benefits, and the particular one I am always after is how it makes me feel.

It brings a lot of joy to my heart knowing that I have helped someone in a day. This kindness can be as simple as just helping my neighbors pick up their clothes that fell from the line, giving my seat to someone who needs it more, paying for someone's bus fare, and others; these are not necessarily things that would affect me in any way.

Because I derive happiness from being kind, I have made it an obligation to always show kindness to people every day, no matter how small, and I can confidently say it is one of the easiest things to attract happiness. Just do it without expecting anything in return, and that will help you unlock happiness in yourself.

Self-care isn't exempted from the things that make me happy every day. Caring for myself mentally and physically brings a sense of fulfillment that unlocks happiness, and I don't need to break the bank before caring for myself. It's as simple as engaging with things I love, decluttering my mind, exercising my body, interacting with people, and a few other things.

Happiness isn't far from us, and we can access the feeling with lots of little things that we don't even place any importance on. It's important that we always make ourselves the source of our happiness. Other things and people can add to your happiness, but they can't be compared to what resides within you. People and those material things won't be around us forever, so what happens when they are gone?

I will love to end the post with one of my favorite songs titled happy by Pharrell Williams because it triggers happiness naturally.

Enjoy.

I agree with you buddy, happiness is free and it's our choice whether to embrace happiness or the other side of it.

It's one of my favourite songs and I love is a lot. Happiness cost us nothing and we can derive it from things we don't pay attention to.

I agree with you below @george-dee 🤗🤗.

From gratitude we focus on all the good we have and avoid complaining about what we would like to have but circumstances don't allow it. Grateful people will always look for ways to see the positive and if you add the kindness with which you treat those around you it makes the perfect combination to feel full in a simple way.

I loved reading you 💫💫

Being grateful for the little things in life can go a long way in making us happy and it's one of the reasons why I have made it a habit.

Kindness is another recipe for happiness, it also sprinkle the seeds of happiness and doing it continuously helps it to grow.
