Hive; The New Revolution oOf Social Media.

I started using social media before 2010 and I remember how I usually save up just to buy some minutes to browse at the cyber cafe. Whenever we had an assignment that has to do with collecting information from the internet, I always felt great because it was an opportunity to get money from my mom to spend time at the Cafe. Social media was magic when I first started engaging on it, we had a family abroad and I know how difficult it was to communicate with them before social media became a popular thing.

At that time, it helped us because sending messages through Facebook specifically saved a lot of money for us. It was all about chatting and posting status but as time passed a lot of things changed and social media offered more than just chatting and posting pictures. The use of social media has gone beyond what it used to be a decade ago, it has become a tool for seeking opportunities, connection, knowledge, wealth creation, communication and a lot of other things. Social Media has become a lot of things depending on what we use it for, I have seen people who call social media a marketplace because that's where they make sales of their products.

In the last decade, we have seen platforms come and go due to different reasons. I have been on many and they all served different purposes.

On seeing the topic for the Hiveghana weekly contest, I began to browse through the experience of all the past social media platforms I have been through and can tell that Hive is unique and no doubt the future of social media. This isn't just a mere claim and at the end of the post, you will agree with me that Hive is without doubt offering you things you can't find out there on other social platforms.

I joined Hive over a year now and will admit that things here are quite different from what I have experienced on other social media.

While telling someone about Hive recently, I used the word Smart Social Media to describe Hive and will need to use it again to create a better understanding of why I confidently said Hive is the future of social media.

Before the invention of smartphones, we had those small Nokia and Trium phones. Their only function was to make calls and send text messages. People still had to snap pictures with digital cameras, listen to music from cassette or CD players, visit the cyber cafe to browse, and go to the bank for even the smallest transaction but development started and gradually, we arrived at smartphones; a device that can perform a lot of things that we thought was impossible.

You can do almost activities on your phone, games, movies, music, chatting, and bank transactions are things you can do without stress on the smartphone.

Now let's think of what it means for a platform to be called Smart, it means it is capable of doing what all other social platforms can do when combined. Every social media platform has its specific use but Hive as a social media can serve multiple purposes you need plenty of other social media platforms for.

There are lots of Dapps built on the Hive blockchain and the truth is that you don't need to go anywhere else. The blockchain is a paradise that offers you anything you want in the world of social media.

Name anything, there is Splinterland, Terracore, Psyber X, WOO and others for games, Ecency, Peaks, Liketu, Leofinance and others for writing and sharing other social kinds of stuff. There is 3speak for videos, Leothread for threading; a similar engagement like Tweeting on Twitter, there are defi and exchange to carry out crypto transactions as well.

It doesn't end with the things above and lots more stuffs are happening on the blockchain. I mentioned earlier that Hive can serve all purposes and more.

Earning while engaging genuinely on Hive is another feature of Hive that makes it stand out among all other social platforms. The platform has provided support for people across the globe and these things with its Smart functions as a social media platform will definitely take the revolution of social media to the next level.

The adoption of Hive is growing and I am not surprised because the platform is too smart for people to overlook and anyone who is paying proper attention to the world we live in will know that social media has gone beyond posting pictures for mere likes. There is more to Social Media in this age we are and Hive is giving us the privilege to enjoy them.

Speak of transparency; checked, building relationships with other members; checked, sharing of knowledge and learning from others; checked, Hive is capable and will give you the best and more of what the social media has to offer. Many times, I think about the future of Hive amd smile because if the Hive blockchain is as capable as what we are experiencing now, the future is going to be on a whole different level.

Hive blockchain has set the standard and I regard it as the new revolution in the social media landscape.
