Beyond Me: Meet Me, An ESL Teacher, A Writer, & A Mother Joining Hive! (INTRODUCTORY POST)

Mabuhay!! Hive community! I am beyond excited to make my very first post. Introduce myself to all of you and become part of this beautiful community. I would like to say I’m a go-getter and proud of what I have always been into “Go-beyond”. Meet me, Genesis Love, An ESL Teacher,A Writer, and A Mother! The name Genesis is quite holistic for me because it suggests 'beginnings' taken from the Bible, while Love is the fuel that drives us towards becoming a good person. I believe that my name defines who I am and the paths I choose to take in life.

ME as an ESL Teacher
I have chosen to dedicate my life to teaching ESL students the beautiful language we speak. Its my passion to bring together cultures through language. Teaching children from different parts of the world is a challenging yet rewarding experience! Interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds daily makes my life different. I learn so much from my students and I get satisfaction knowing I have helped some kids to achieve their daily routines and most of all their dreams by mastering a foreign language!
I believe that this profession has given me a unique part into the lives of my students from other countries and cultures. It has opened my mind to the idea that despite us coming from different backgrounds, we all share the same dreams and human intention. I know I will be able to bring this unique quality to my blogging journey, and I hope to interact with many wonderful people from around the globe via Hive!

ME as a Writer
Voicing out my experience, If teaching is my passion, writing is my therapy! I believe words have a mysterious power to reach people in distance, to build relationships and sometimes to make peace with the enemies, and to share words of God that I think the very purpose of my existence. Writing has been my companion for as long as I can remember! I started to write when I was eight years old. I remember the famous short story books called “Pocket Books”, instead of reading the whole book I only read the summary at the back of its cover. Till then I started to make a very short story. I'm not a fan of Pocket books though. Writing helps me reflect on my experiences and see the world around me! I love to write poetry, compose songs and write short stories. I look forward to expressing my voice and sharing my unique perspective on Hive!

ME as a Mother
There is a saying: Being a Mother is the most noble profession in the world, so I can say this is my “Masterpeiece”. While I consider both my career and my writing to be my pride and joy, there is nothing greater to me than my beautiful children! Motherhood is an amazing yet scary adventure! (Not to mention that I am a single parent). It is a path of learning how to be patient, understanding, loving unconditionally and kind! It is also a path of extreme selflessness and sacrifice! Juggling my career, my writing, and my family life is not easy, but I cherish those moments when everything comes together, and I get to spend time with my children!

When it comes to raising my children, I believe in this verse:
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6 .If I want them to be successful and unafraid to "Go Beyond," I have to set an example myself! Hence, another reason why I chose to join you all on Hive!

GO BEYOND ME: I love to spend my free time traveling and exploring new places! I love photography, What else is a blogger to do when they are not teaching, writing, or being a mother? Share their passions! Well, my blog will be a reflection of my hobbies and the things I love to do in my spare time!

I am a traveler at heart! New experiences, meeting wonderful people from all roads and trying local cuisine are some of my all-time favorites! I want to check out all the famous tourist spots! It is amazing to experience new things. I love stumbling upon little hidden gems! I look forward to sharing my travel adventures with you all and posting beautiful pictures from my expeditions!

Fueling my creativity I am what you call a coffee lover. Yes, Coffee is my fuel! It is impossible to start my day without my morning dose of caffeine, especially with my loving Papu (my father). Coffee is my companion while I work on my blogs! It is also my comfort when I have a bad day. I love learning about different coffee varieties and brewing methods! I even tried to put a coffee shop in our village but it didn't succeed, but it’s ok! I also enjoy visiting local independent cafes. Coffee is just a bean that becomes a blessing that allows me to be creative and productive!

There is magic that happens every day, but I believe it is most powerful at sunset! I love taking evening walks as the sun sets on the horizon! Believe it or not, sunset is sweeter if you are with your loved ones, of course with my kids. I find peace in the stillness of the nature around me as the sky transforms into a breathtaking masterpiece of orange and purple! Walking slowly, holding hands of my beautiful mini me and staying in the quiet laughter of my children while taking in the beauty of God’s wonderful creation. It is my way of escaping the chaos of the fast-paced modern world! I love taking pictures of the lovely sky at sunset! I love making memories with my children beyond sunset. I know you will enjoy those pictures too!

It will be exciting to learn My Goals on Hive As I embark on this new blogging journey, let me share my goals with you all! I hope every post that I publish will have value to the reader. It can be entertaining, inspiring, educational, or thought-provoking! And to support other writers as well. I hope to make new friends from all around the globe! I am looking forward to connecting with other mothers, teachers, writers, coffee lovers, and travelers! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my introduction post!
