My path on Hive. Where am I and where am I going? / Il mio percorso su Hive. Dove sono e dove sto andando? [EN/IT]

It has been a long time since I published new updates on my situation in Hive and in the crypto world in general, so I take this as the topic of this post to take stock and illustrate my goals.

I'm not actually going to talk about a well-defined goal, which should have a specific deadline. Instead I prefer not to set a deadline of this type also because making predictions in an environment as volatile as that of cryptocurrencies is just a crazy game.

My friends from the Italian community who have been following me for some time know that I live in Albania, a country certainly not at the top of wealth in Europe. After Moldova it is in fact the poorest, as per capita income of the whole continent. Why am I here? My wife is Albanian and I liked Albania from the first time I visited it, thanks to her, now 16 years ago. I decided to come and live here because I love the energy that is breathed in the air, for the much more cordial and sincere people who live there. But this is another story.

So why am I talking about Albania in this post? It is necessary to explain my goals with Hive. In Albania people live with little, often very little, too little. A leak dating back a year ago disclosed the salaries of all employees in Albania: over 66% of people who work as employees have a salary of less than $ 600. Almost 50% less than $ 300. Fortunately, with my personal business I do not fall into this category and from my small company I earn enough more, even though I cannot consider myself a rich person here either.

From this, my goal will be better understood. I would like, as soon as possible, to live off Hive and cryptocurrencies, resulting in an income of at least $ 1000 a month. This would allow me to lighten my work in the company and finally be able to fully dedicate myself to my projects to be achieved on and off Hive, including some applications for the blockchain.

$ 1000 a month is $ 33 a day. Are they many or are they few? It depends on your point of view.

Where I am now? Until a few days ago, before the Moon catastrophe hit the crypto universe, I was able to regularly reach $ 10-11 per day on average. Now there has been a drop that has brought me back to values around 6 dollars a day, but I am convinced it is a temporary situation and in fact the return to the previous threshold is already materializing (touch wood). So it's about tripling this income in practice.

In reality, in the golden ageI had already reached the goal: from October to mid-December I also got 50 dollars a day, but before giving a definitive change to my life project I wanted, prudently, to wait for a period of downtime because it is not wise to take into account only favorable situations that may not last forever. And the facts have proved me right, so now I'm again battling with insufficient crypto income to live on.

Where does my crypto-income come from? I have been closely monitoring this data for many months and trying to diversify the sources of income. Contrary to what one might think, post writing affects little, indeed very little, because unfortunately I am not very active on this front, due to the commitments in the company that consume too much energy, especially mental. In fact, less than 3% derives from this source, between post and post care. Even less, not even 1% comes from extras such as interest from HP and HBD. Most of it comes from games. 11% is the proceeds from Rising Star, crumbs from others. Obviously Splinterlands takes the lion's share, and we can never stop thanking them for what they are giving to many of us. I have not played actively for some time, but I have never stopped putting it to good use and investing in it: so far I have made about 30% of the income from card rentals, while over 50% from airdrops.

How long did it take to get to these results? A couple of years and an initial investment of 0. I only reinvested what I initially got, when I had more time, from the proceeds of my posts. The initial investment for Splinterlands was also the fruit of my posts. I could have achieved a lot more if I had had more regularity in participating, but life has its priorities and its times.

How long will it take to reach the goal? Impossible to know, the future is unpredictable. I would be satisfied if I could do it in another two years. In reality, already now my crypto income is higher than the rent price of the house in which I live or the monthly salary of half of the Albanian workers.

What plans do I have to achieve the goal? No one in particular. I will continue as I am doing, hoping that maybe a return to the ATH will speed up the process. So I will continue to reinvest all the profit perhaps further differentiating the sources. I'm already starting to get interested in staking, pools and some second-level tokens that I think are interesting. I have no faith in the NFT market, other than those useful for the games in which I participate. I evaluate the defi very carefully: a serious approach takes time that I do not have at the moment and a passion that perhaps I will never have.

If I reach my goal in a way that I will judge stable and consolidated as much as possible, not as already happened last autumn, I will begin to disengage myself from the company, delegating to other people and treating far fewer customers, keeping only the most profitable and less problematic ones. Surely the transition will be gradual. I will not be able to reinvest all the income on the Hive chain, instead I will have to make a living from it, with increasing percentages over time. But I will also have more time available to dedicate myself to posting and curating. In addition, I will also be able to commit myself to carrying out my own projects and I am confident that these will benefit both me and Hive, including some management games that I have in mind for a long time and to which I will be able to dedicate myself fully.

The path is still very long but as they say: even the longest journey begins with the first small step.

E’ da molto tempo che non pubblico nuovi aggiornamenti sulla mia situazione in Hive e nel mondo cripto in generale, così ne approfitto come argomento di questo post per fare il punto ed illustrare i miei obiettivi.

In realtà non parlerò di un obiettivo ben definito: per esser tale dover aver una scadenza che invece non mi pongo anche perché fare previsioni in un ambiente così volatile come quello delle crittovalute e solo un gioco folle.

I miei amici della comunità italiana che mi seguono da tempo sanno che vivo in Albania, un paese sicuramente non ai vertici della ricchezza in Europa. Dopo la Moldavia è infatti il più povero, come reddito pro-capite di tutto il continente. Perché son qui? Mia moglie è albanese e l’Albania mi è piaciuta fin dalla prima volta in cui l’ho visitata, grazie a lei, oramai 16 anni fa. Ho deciso di venire a vivere qui perché adoro l’energia che si respira nell’aria qui, per le persone molto più cordiali e sincere che ci vivono. Ma questa è un’altra storia.

Perché allora parlo dell’Albania in questo post? Per spiegare quali sono i miei obiettivi con Hive. In Albania le persone vivono con poco, spesso molto poco, troppo poco. Un leak risalente un anno fa ha reso noti gli stipendi di tutti i dipendenti in Albania: oltre il 66% delle persone che lavorano come dipendenti ha uno stipendio inferiore a 600 dollari, quasi il 50% inferiore a 300 dollari. Per fortuna con la mia attività personale non rientro in questa categoria e dalla mia piccola azienda, pur non potendomi considerare una persona ricca neanche qui, riesco a guadagnare abbastanza di più.

Ed è qui che arriva l’individuazione del mio obiettivo. Vorrei arrivare, nel più breve tempo possibile, a vivere di Hive e crittovalute, ponendomi come risultato quello di ottenere un reddito di almeno 1000 dollari al mese. Ciò mi permetterebbe di alleggerire il mio lavoro in azienda e potermi finalmente dedicare pienamente ai miei progetti da realizzare su Hive e fuori, incluse alcune applicazioni per la blockchain.

1000 dollari al mese sarebbero 33 dollari al giorno. Sono tanti o sono pochi? Dipende dai punti di vista.

A che punto sono? Fino a pochi giorni fa, prima che la catastrofe Luna colpisse l’universo cripto riuscivo con regolarità ad arrivare a 10-11 dollari al giorno in media. Ora c’è stato un calo che mi ha riportato a valori intorno ai 6 dollari quotidiani, ma sono convinto si tratti di una situazione temporanea ed infatti il ritorno alla soglia precedente si sta già materializzando (tocco ferro). Quindi si tratta di triplicare questo reddito in pratica.

In realtà nel periodo d’oro ero già arrivato all’obiettivo: da ottobre a metà dicembre ero arrivato anche a 50 dollari al giorno, ma prima di dare una svolta definitiva al mio progetto di vita ho voluto, prudentemente, attendere un periodo di down perché non è saggio tener conto solo delle situazioni favorevoli che potrebbero non durare per sempre. Ed i fatti mi hanno dato ragione, così ora sono di nuovo a combattere con un reddito da cripto insufficiente per vivere.

Da dove viene il mio cripto-reddito? Sto monitorando attentamente questi dati da molti mesi e cercando di diversificare le fonti di entrata. Contrariamente a quello che si potrebbe pensare la scrittura di post incide poco, anzi pochissimo, perché purtroppo non sono molto attivo su questo fronte, per via degli impegni in azienda che mi consumano troppe energie soprattutto mentali. Da questo fronte, fra post e cura dei post, infatti deriva meno del 3%. Ancora meno, neanche l’1% arriva da extra come gli interessi da HP e da HBD. La gran parte deriva dai giochi. L’11% è il ricavato da Rising Star, briciole dagli altri. A far la parte del leone è ovviamente Splinterlands, che non si potrà mai smettere di ringraziare per quanto sta dando a molti di noi. Da tempo non gioco più attivamente, ma non ho mai smesso di metterlo a frutto ed investirci: dagli affitti delle carte ho finora ricavato il 30% circa delle rendite, mentre dagli airdrop oltre l’50%.

Quanto tempo c’è voluto per arrivare a questi risultati? Un paio d’anni e investimento iniziale pari a 0. Non ho fatto altro che reinvestire nel tempo quanto ottenuto, inizialmente, quando avevo più disponibilità di tempo, dal ricavato dei miei post. Anche l’investimento iniziale per Splinterlands è stato il frutto dei miei post. Avrei potuto ottenere molto di più se avessi avuto più regolarità nel partecipare, ma la vita ha le sue priorità ed i suoi tempi.

Quanto tempo ci vorrà ancora per raggiungere l’obiettivo? Impossibile saperlo, il futuro è imprevedibile. Sarei soddisfatto se potessi riuscirci in altri due anni. In realtà già ora le mie rendite sono superiori al prezzo di affitto della casa in cui abito o allo stipendio mensile di metà dei lavoratori albanesi.

Quali piani ho per raggiungere l’obiettivo? Nessuno in particolare. Al momento continuo come sto facendo, augurandomi che magari un ritorno agli ATH acceleri il processo. Quindi continuerò a reinvestire tutto il profitto magari differenziando ulteriormente le rendite: sto già cominciando ad interessarmi allo staking, alle pool ed a qualche token di secondo livello che reputo interessanti. Non ho fiducia nel mercato degli NFT, se non quelli funzionali ai giochi a cui prendo parte. Il defi lo valuto con molta attenzione: un approccio serio richiede tempo che in questo momento non ho ed una passione che forse non avrò mai.

Se riuscirò nel mio intento in modo che giudicherò stabile e per quanto possibile consolidato, non come già avvenuto nell’autunno scorso, comincerò a disimpegnarmi dall’azienda, delegando ad altre persone e curando molti meno clienti, tenendo solo quelli più profittevoli e meno problematici. Il passaggio sarà sicuramente graduale. Dovrò smettere di reinvestire tutte le rendite sulla catena Hive, invece dovendo da essa trarre di che vivere, con percentuali crescenti nel tempo. Ma avrò anche più tempo a disposizione per dedicarmi ai post ed alla cura, nonché a progetti miei da mettere in gioco e che sono fiducioso possano anch’essi portare beneficio a me e ad Hive, inclusi alcuni giochi gestionali che ho in mente da molto tempo ed al cui sviluppo potrò dedicarmi in pieno.

Il percorso è ancora molto lungo ma come si dice: anche il viaggio più lungo comincia con primo piccolo passo.
