[ESP-ENG] Castlevania Review

ENGLISH

Hello everyone friends of "Hive Gaming" today I want to share with you this quite entertaining game called Castlevania, where as you can imagine it appears the renowned Count Dracula.

1.jpg

2.jpg

As in almost every game, we start with a mini review of what the game is about and then we are thrown to the main menu, this time tells us how was the resurrection of Dracula, where human blood was necessary and a spell with too many sacrifices.

3.jpg

4.jpg

Let's start by creating a profile to be able to play, as you can see we can create up to 3 profiles, in case by chance your friend or family member feels like trying the game, you can create a profile apart from yours.

5.jpg

6.jpg

Once our profile is created, we will start from the prologue with the character named Richter, we start from phase 0 and from there we will advance until we reach the confrontation with Count Dracula.

7.jpg

8.jpg

In the prologue we must be careful that this skeleton with scythe does not murder us before starting the game, to the skeleton we can not kill him, to pass this part we just have to destroy his scythe when he throws it and then dodge his final attack, in total only makes two attacks and leaves.

9.jpg

Now if we are in phase 1, as a fact, these torches can give you hearts or weapons, the hearts are the amount of throws we have available with the weapon.

10.jpg

At the start we will always give us 10 hearts and when destroying these torches at the beginning we can choose between throwing daggers or throwing axes, preferably the axe is chosen because it spends less hearts and has a higher damage than the daggers.

11.jpg

12.jpg

We get to see a woman fleeing from the minions of Count Dracula, who after being captured appears in person to ask to be taken alive to his castle to have some fun with the girl's family.

13.jpg

14.jpg

The woman before falling into a deep sleep, mentions the name of our player, Richter, according to my experience in stories of this style, I guess she is the fiancée or the beloved of our main player (Not to say that they can also be family, although it has a low probability).

15.jpg

16.jpg

The skeleton appears looking like in life he was a top thief, when we get him out of the way we can continue down to face a couple of mini bosses, who are quite complicated to defeat for someone new like me, although when I got the hang of them they became too easy.

17.jpg

18.jpg

We will face these steel giants, where if we get close to its lower part we can receive damage just by touching it, so it is preferable to get used to its attack pattern which is quite slow, hit once and wait 3 seconds to attack again.

21.jpg

As I was just starting, said giants took two lives from me, in total we have 3 lives and to that we add the life they give us which would be the one we started with, in total we would have 4 lives.

22.jpg

Already finished that part, we move on to another quite interesting location.

23.jpg

24.jpg

We are on the wall of Dracula's castle, where we will face this wyvern, because not even a dragon comes, it is too easy to defeat him, of course, if you have weapons, if you do not carry a weapon and at least 13 hearts with you, you should wait for him to come down to try to capture you and take advantage to hit him a single blow.

25.jpg

26.jpg

As I mentioned earlier, it's pretty simple to finish off that wyvern, just dodge its flames and its attack to try to capture you, you'll immediately have plenty of openings to attack.

27.jpg

We got through Phase 1 folks, it wasn't as complicated as I had imagined, I thought it would take me at least 1 hour to complete phase 1, but, I finished in 7 minutes and I think it was a long time indeed.

28.jpg

29.jpg

We start phase two fellows, the title of this phase is: "God, Give me strength", here we will no longer have annoying bats, but, they changed the bats for some crows that chase you to infinity and beyond.

30.jpg

31.jpg

A single crow, as I did not understand that I was attacking me, I took two lives instantly, we will also have as an enemy a kind of royal knight, which is covered with thick armor and a kind of blades that throws on the ground and look like saws with Boomerang effect.

32.jpg

33.jpg

Let's enter the Count's castle, to see his paintings on the wall and his decoration.

34.jpg

35.jpg

This quite nice castle inside, although now we also have as a change for the crows, that kind of giant eye that circles around you, it is quite problematic to defeat it, at least up to here was the most I managed to get due to the incredible spam of enemies and that those eyes did not let me do too much.

36.jpg

37.jpg

History

In a very distant place, a group of people wanted to call back to life, nothing more and nothing less than Count Dracula himself, the lord of evil, to achieve this they had to make many sacrifices and at the end of it all, they managed to revive him, a being who loved the night and suck the blood of young women, he could transform into a wolf, bat or in the same fog.

Playability
.

Its gameplay is pretty good, its mobility is not the best, the only thing I don't like too much is that I can't play by the joystick of the controller, if not by the movement keys next to the joystick.

Soundtrack

Its songs are quite old, although, it gives a good atmosphere to the game, at the time of going defeating enemies you are going to feel that the music that gives the game, makes a good atmosphere to the place.

Farewell

Well friends, that's all, above I leave you a video recorded by me, where I will show you the story of the game (Spanish subtitles, English voices),

Video recorded by me from my cell phone: Samsung A71

Control used in the recording: Controller X3

Game used: Emulated from the PPSSPP application.

All screenshots were taken by me, from my computer.

It's nice to see that emulated games are still played. I really wanted to play castlevania ges after watching the castlevania series on netflix, maybe I'll try this one.

Personally, I can only play old school emulated games, because of my pc, although now I have a mid-range phone, I still can not have such complicated games, and in itself I like more emulated games to play them with my controller.

This looks like a fun mobile game. I haven’t played this type in quite a while but I like Castlevania, especially the Netflix show which was super cool. I like the cut scene of the woman fleeing from Dracula. It’s great to see such simple yet stylish cinematically even in a mobile game. Other than the axes and the daggers and whip, do you get other weapons later? I know in the show one of the main guys has a whip like Richter, there’s a girl who can cast magic spells, and a half vampire who can float and make his sword fly around. It’ll be interesting to see what other bosses you will face in this game. That large steel giant and that wyvern-Dragon looked like fun battles.

This is the first Castlevania I'm going to play, and it's really good. For now I've only got the daggers and the axe, I need to keep playing the part of the mansion to unlock more weapons and characters, the story is quite extensive so I have to play for a while.

Fighting against the Wyvern, was too simple for my taste, I would have liked that they put a little more complexity, I say that it is too simple because you only see where you can throw an axe and you lower his life, you run a little fire and it does not hurt you, you move away from him and he can not attack you, his pattern is too simple. On the other hand, the steel giant had a little more complexity, because you could only attack its upper part and if you got too close its legs would do instant damage.

I like the vibe of the old games, they really feel quality. Yes, the gameplay is weaker than today's games, but the story and the feel is better. This game is pretty good, even if it's not perfect. Thanks for sharing with us 👍

It is very good this game, the truth is not as good gameplay as the current games, but in terms of history is not behind the current and its graphics are not as bad as I had imagined.

Thanks to the community for giving me the opportunity to bring this kind of publications.
