[ENG-ESP] Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker (Review)
Saludos a todos amigos de “Hive Gaming” hoy les vengo a hablar acerca de este juego de PPSSPP llamado “Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker” me pareció bastante interesante y quise enseñarlo a esta comunidad, espero que sea de su agrado este tipo de juego.
This game is quite old and they wanted to make the animation in the comic type story together with the animation, something like a black and white animation with jumping pages, for my taste it looks good, although I don't know how they think that type of animation for the story.
Este juego es bastante antiguo y le quisieron hacer la animación en la historia tipo comic junto a la animación, algo así como una animación en blanco y negro con salto de páginas, para mi gusto le queda bien, aunque no se como les parezca ese tipo de animación para la historia.
The normal for games of this style is always to have more than one mode in which to move the character, aiming and so on, I left it by default because it is with which I am a little more accustomed to the other games, although I still find it hard to play it on both computer and Android.
Lo normal de los juegos de este estilo es siempre tener mas de un modo en el cual mover al personaje, el apuntado y demás, yo lo deje por defecto debido a que es con el que estoy un poquito mas acostumbrado con los otros juegos, aunque todavía me cuesta jugarlo tanto en computadora como en Android.
We started out as Big Boss, who was previously called "Snake", but, after receiving the order to assassinate his master (The Boss) and fulfilling that mission, he was named "Big Boss" although at the awards ceremony, he disappeared from the United States without a trace.
Empezamos siendo Big Boss, el que era antes llamado “Snake”, pero, luego de recibir la orden de asesinar a su maestra (The Boss) y cumplir dicha misión, fue nombrado como “Big Boss” aunque en la ceremonia de premios, desapareció de estados unidos sin dejar rastro alguno.
As soon as we enter the game, we receive the first tutorial where we will be taught how to defend and attack, as well as the art of "CQC" combat, a melee combat that allows us to shorten the distance with the enemy and have his life in your hands, which is quite deadly even in real life because it was created specifically to kill.
En cuanto entramos al juego, recibimos el primer tutorial donde nos enseñaran a defendernos y atacar, como también nos enseñaran el arte del combate “CQC” un combate cuerpo a cuerpo que permite acortar distancia con el enemigo y tener su vida entre tus manos, el cual es bastante mortal incluso en la vida real debido a que fue creado específicamente para asesinar.
We are also taught that "CQC" can be used for multiple targets, normally it is used for unarmed combat, although if I remember correctly there is also a type of combat that specializes in weapons.
También nos enseñan que el “CQC” puede ser usado para múltiples objetivos, normalmente es usado para el combate sin armas, aunque si no mal recuerdo también hay un tipo de combate especializado en armas.
From here begins his story, where a man arrives by surprise to seek the help of Snake or also known as Big Boss, whose name is Jhon, has several names and only uses the name of Snake.
A partir de aquí empieza su historia, donde un hombre llega de sorpresa a buscar la ayuda de Snake o también conocido como Big Boss, cuyo nombre es Jhon, tiene bastantes nombres y solo usa el de Snake.
This is what I meant when I said that they wanted to make a comic-like animation, although in most of the images I can't distinguish the characters well, the animation looks pretty good, the story also looks interesting.
A esto me refería cuando dije que le quisieron hacer animación tipo comic, aunque en la mayoría de las imágenes no logro distinguir bien a los personajes, le queda bastante bien dicha animación, su historia también se ve interesante.
I did not know that Japan could not have armies because of a written article, and they can not carry firearms, at least that is what this game refers to, it brings up the history of 4 countries and maybe even more, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, USA, so far those are the ones that have been mentioned with the little time I have been in the game.
No sabia que Japón no podía tener ejércitos por un articulo escrito, y tampoco pueden llevar armas de fuego, por lo menos a eso se refiere este juego, saca a relucir historia de 4 países y puede que, hasta más, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, USA, hasta ahora esos son los que han mencionado con el poco tiempo que llevo dentro del juego.
Young student of the mysterious guy who claims to be a teacher, it's a pretty complete story, to tell the truth, the only thing missing is a movie where the one who is supposedly dead, turns out to have survived by miracle.
Joven alumna del sujeto misterioso que dice ser profesor, es una historia bastante completa, a decir verdad, lo único que falta es que sea tipo película donde la que supuestamente esta muerta, resulte que sobrevivió de milagro.
16 year old girl who was kidnapped trying to find her friend, and because of that she received a strong torture, it is not known how she managed to escape from where she was in captivity.
Joven de 16 años la cual fue secuestrada intentando encontrar a su amiga, y a causa de eso recibió una fuerte tortura, no se sabe como logro escapar de donde estaba en cautiverio.
The girl is determined to ask for your help without receiving a no for an answer, that's why I mentioned before that she has a very complete story, which caught my attention.
La muchacha esta decidida a solicitar su ayuda sin recibir un no por respuesta, por eso mencione anteriormente que tiene una historia bastante completa, y la cual me llamo demasiado la atención.
We tried a bit of what would come to be the game in general, like changing weapons, placing sensors, using the binoculars, throwing grenades, shooting, getting used to the camera change, in that short period of time that lets us move our character, forces us to do that specifically.
Probamos un poco de lo que vendría siendo el juego en general, como cambiar de armas, colocar sensores, usar los binoculares, lanzar granadas, disparar, acostumbrarse al cambio de cámara, en ese corto periodo de tiempo que nos deja mover nuestro personaje, nos obliga a realizar eso específicamente.
Again with the story, Snake sends the professor in while trying to light a cigarette, but, his lighter broke down, the professor with his robotic prosthesis, shows his thumb which is actually a lighter.
De nuevo con la historia, Snake manda a pasar al profesor mientras intenta encender un cigarrillo, pero, su mechero se averió, el profesor con su prótesis robótica, muestra el dedo pulgar el cual es en realidad un mechero.
In exchange for Snake's help, the professor is willing to give them an operations room at sea, exclusively for Snake and his people, who have no country to represent or belong to, they went from being American soldiers to simply being nomads.
A cambio de la ayuda de Snake, el profesor esta dispuesto a entregarles una sala de operaciones en el mar, exclusivamente para Snake y su gente, la cual no tiene un país al que representar ni al que pertenecer, pasaron de ser soldados americanos a simplemente ser nómadas.
Paz got out alive from where she was in captivity, but her friend did not have the same luck, perhaps as in any movie or series, the friend sacrifices herself so that one of the two can get out alive while the other distracts the guards.
Paz, salió con vida de donde estaba en cautiverio, pero, su amiga no tuvo la misma suerte, quizás como en toda película o serie, la amiga se sacrifica para que una de las dos logre salir con vida mientras que la otra hace de distracción a los guardias.
It turns out that Paz escaped from captivity, taking with her the audio tape that her friend had recorded, which had some interesting information. Paz's friend was a bird lover and was recording the sound of birds, when suddenly on her tape was recorded the voice of the supposed "dead heroine The Boss" (As I mentioned before, what was needed was that she was still alive to have a very complete and interesting story) the girl was captured in order to erase all evidence that "The Boss" was still alive in Costa Rica.
Resulta que Paz escapo de donde estaba en cautiverio, llevando con ella la cinta de audio que su amiga había grabado, el cual tenía una información bastante interesante. La amiga de Paz, era una amante de las aves y se encontraba grabando el sonido de las aves, cuando de pronto en su cinta queda grabada la voz de la supuesta “Heroína muerta The Boss” (Como lo mencione anteriormente, lo que hacia falta era que ella siguiera con vida para tener una historia bastante completa e interesante) la chica fue capturada con el fin de borrar toda evidencia de que “The Boss” siguiera con vida en costa rica.
Snake finally accepts the assignment, but, he makes it very clear that he does it for Peace, to fulfill the request of the young teenager who had to suffer a terrible torture.
Snake finalmente acepta el encargo, pero, deja muy claro que lo hace por Paz, para cumplir la petición de la joven adolescente la cual tuvo que sufrir una tortura terrible.
Our first mission is to infiltrate the enemy base to find information.

Historia/History
The story of the game is based on "Snake" a brilliant student and "The Boss" his teacher, who in exchange for not starting a nuclear armageddon, was given the condition that USA assassinate her legendary warrior "The Boss" and to carry out this condition, was given the mission to his most outstanding student "Snake" who succeeded in the mission to assassinate his own teacher.
La historia del juego se basa en “Snake” un brillante alumno y “The Boss” su maestra, la cual a cambio de no empezar un armagedon nuclear, fue dada la condición de que USA asesinara a su legendaria guerrera “The Boss” y para llevar a cabo dicha condición, se le fue dada la misión a su alumno mas destacado “Snake” quien tuvo éxito en la misión de asesinar a su propia maestra.
When he was about to be decorated for having accomplished his mission, Snake disappeared without a trace. Some time later he was found by a professor who works for the CIA of the USA, and a young teenager of 16 years old who have the request that Snake kick the CIA soldiers out of their country, as an advance payment or reward, he will be given a base located in the sea.
Cuando iba a ser condecorado por haber cumplido su misión, Snake desapareció sin dejar rastro alguno. Algún tiempo después fue encontrado por un profesor que trabaja para la CIA de la USA, y una joven adolescente de 16 años quienes tienen la petición de que Snake eche de su país a los soldados de la CIA, como pago anticipado o recompensa, se le va a entregar una base ubicada en el mar.
Snake desists from that request and thanks to the persistence of the young woman and her dark past, Snake finally accepts to fulfill the request of the young woman, before accepting the request, he was given a tape which was recorded by Paz's friend, who was recording the sound of the birds and inside the recording the voice of the legendary warrior "The Boss" is heard, Snake was startled to hear the voice of his teacher and is willing to get the information to know if he is alive or not.
Snake desiste de esa petición y gracias a la persistencia de la joven y a su oscuro pasado, Snake finalmente acepta para poder cumplir la petición de la joven, antes de aceptar la petición, se le fue entregada una cinta la cual fue grabada por la amiga de Paz, quien estaba grabando el sonido de las aves y dentro de la grabación se escucha la voz de la legendaria guerrera “The Boss”, Snake se sobresalto al escuchar la voz de su maestra y esta dispuesto a conseguir la información para saber si se encuentra con vida o no.
Banda Sonora/Soundtrack
The soundtrack and effects are quite good, I have no complaints about the effects or sounds within the game, if I had wanted the story part would have had a little background music sound, to make it even more interesting, although that environmental touch also was good.
Su banda sonora y de efectos es bastante buena, no tengo queja alguna acerca de los efectos o sonidos dentro del juego, si hubiera querido que la parte de la historia hubiera tenido un poquito de sonido musical de fondo, para hacerla aun mas interesante, aunque ese toque ambiental también le quedo bien.
Despedida/Farewell
Well friends, so far today's publication, the truth is that this game is quite entertaining for all audiences, you have both ways whether you speak English or Spanish, you have subtitles in Spanish, the voices in English along with their writing within the animation.
Bueno amigos, hasta aquí la publicación de hoy, la verdad que este juego es bastante entretenido para todo público, tienes las dos formas tanto si hablas inglés, como si hablas español, tienes subtítulos en español, las voces en ingles junto con su escritura dentro de la animación.
IIRC, they get around this! Japan although they don't have an army, they have a sort of a defense force. The terms of surrender in WW2 dictated that they wouldn't have an army but if they came under attack by another nation that the U.S would support them against the agressor.
Yes, as far as I understand, it only has its own self-defense forces and would receive support from the United States against the aggressor, although I still do not understand the reason for not having its own army, perhaps because of its birth rate? It would take some research on the matter to go into details.
It was just a part of the terms of surrender. The same thing happened with Germany after WW1, although to a much lesser extent. They were only allowed to have X amount of military members and were restricted on what they could make.
Along with that there was a bunch of other restrictions placed on them, and that is one of the reasons many people believe how Adolf Hitler rose to power.
Interesting information, I started to detail and the game gives you information that occurred in the second and part of the first world war, it is quite interesting that topic in question, I did not know that Germany could not have its army, just as well as "self-defense"?
They could have an army, however they had to drastically reduce the size of it. Along with other things like like the amount of money germany had to pay back after the first World war all lead to the eventual outcome that was WW2.
Of course, this is just coming off of the top of my head as it has been a while since I read/researched into it!
If you are even a little more informed than I am, I simply had no interest in the subject of the first or second world war until recently that I started to investigate and I ended up liking the history a lot.
I like the way this game tells the story. I like the cartoonish dialog. Also the graphics look good for the time it was made, but I don't think I'll play the game. I'll dig some more though.
The game in itself is good, although I get tangled a lot by the fact of the controls, maybe with a controller is easier to play it, but, I see it complicated to be a stealth game and quick attack, with the keyboard controls I can not complete it and find out more of its history.
This is the game my dark green PSP-3000 came bundled with, and I remember playing it a lot even though I never managed to complete it (while my brothers did). This definitely was an interesting first game to try out of the MGS franchise, and the funny part is how the next game I got my hands on is MGS3D. So yeah, I first met Big Boss starting to do his thing...and then I played the game with his origin story...and both of these are way before the games with the titular Solid Snake even happen lol
Great to see someone remember this game today, I remember messing around with the Fulton soldiers for those limited missions and being somewhat nervous with how they easily could drop like flies.
Inside this game, I'm quite intrigued by the story of "The Boss" I would like to play it until I complete it, but, its controls are not very good, at least I've never got used to that kind of controls, I'm more used to move the camera with the joystick and then shoot and so on, but, here you have to move the camera with the triangle, square, O and X, which is difficult for me because I'm playing on pc with keyboard and not with controller.
I will investigate more about its history to read what really happened with The Boss and why Big Boss left at the awards ceremony, although I can imagine the reason, nobody would like to be given a medal for having killed his teacher.
es muy buen juego esta secuela, pero te tengo una pregunta como se siente el control? no te molesta tener que usar los botones de acciòn para mover la camara?
La verdad es que si, y como lo utilizo con teclado, se me hace mas complicado todavia, pero, no es el primer juego de este estilo que pruebo.
