Early morning today. Took a look outside for signs of attack drones. None.

Heading back into the station. Still night out.

Might be the drifter and what of his intentions or the assembler making that tumbling noise all night, but didn't get much sleep.

Have to get out of the base today. A strange feeling. Need to do some mining; decided to do so.

Drill Vader. An appropriate name. The resemblance is uncanny.

Nothing like the smell of hydrogen in the morning.

Of course, i'm in my suit so and i can't smell the outside air. So i'm spared from the smell. That, and the fact that hydrogen doesn't even have smell.

Nevertheless.

Looking at these engines burning what seems to be copious amounts of gas makes it seem that, could i indeed smell the outside of my suit i'd be experiencing some extremely high levels of toxic, concentrated and deathly exhaust fumes!

Not the case.

Let's get a move on.

Romanticized as it is, colonizing and mining uninhabited planets or moons can be an extremely lonely endeavor.

Was that why i let the drifter stay, and not to help out? Possibly. Although, between loneliness and somebody getting in the way, there's no question about the obvious choice.

Focus on the work. Plenty to do, regardless.

Damn ice. Gotta mine through it to get to the minerals. Unnecessarily filling up the driller's containers. Can't have that.

Driller's containers at 100%. Heavy, the bugger; literal tons of minerals.

Time to carefully bring them back to the station.

Hopefully unspotted to attack drones.

Arrived without issues. Feeling relieved.

Containers full of minerals up to the brim, ready to be refined.

Taking a look at the station's defense. They're looking good as well.

Nearing night time.

For some reason, tiredness alludes me. Slept terribly, and feel terrible too, yet still have energy to keep on working.

A way of not dealing with the terrible feeling? Perhaps.

Decided i'd finalize the drone cleanup near the station. Not many left.

A mobile refining ship. Must have been attacked and gunned down by another faction.

More recycling materials for the station.

A tad too big for the grinding pit. Need to cut it into smaller pieces, by using my hand grinder, so they can fit into the grinder.

Feeling tired, and it shows; got stuck inside the grinder pit while making sure everything went smoothly.

Had to crawl through the maintenance and conveyor system tunnels!
Should get some sleep. Might end up loosing a finger, or worse.

Can't, without finishing. Pushing through.

Day time. All done; final chunk.

Of course, the final piece had to give me problems.

Should have made a larger pit.

What would this job be if nothing but hard work. Colonizing. Mining. These are words associated with, more than anything, hard work.
